I am 40 years old. I was told I have RA due to positive RF, no swelling of my joints, no signs on X rays.. I do struggle with inflammation in general, pain in my back, hips, and I get my hands and feets injected due to trigger finger and Hallux rigidus.. supposedly both things are complications of RA. I am 5'3, weight 177lbs, my BMI is 31, and I have an apple shape body. My mayor problem is my hip dips and belly. I'd like a more hourglass shape. Is it safe to have this procedure?

Answer: Liposuction with auto immune disease The best person for you to talk to about this as your rheumatologist. That person will most likely need to give medical clearance to see if elective surgery is appropriate for you in regards to your underlying medical conditions including potential medication you may be taking they could be contraindicated for surgery. You may or may not be a candidate for a BBL. You didn’t post any pictures so we can’t really make an assessment from that perspective. Your rheumatologist will manage your rheumatological decisions and the plastic surgeons will do the plastic surgery aspect of the procedure. Start by talking to your rheumatologist and also schedule in person consultations with local but certified plastic surgeons to see if you are indeed a candidate or not for a BBL despite auto immune disorders.
