Hi, I recently had a consultation for a Renuvion breast lift/skin tightening to address asymmetry (1 cm difference in droopiness). The provider plans to use Renuvion on the skin above and around the breasts, avoiding direct contact with breast tissue. I'm concerned this might limit the results. Is Renuvion safe for use on breast tissue? Additionally, since I'll be lying down during the procedure, my breasts shift to the side—will she be able to treat areas where the tissue moves away?

Answer: Renuvion Renuvion is safe to tighten skin on the breast as well as many other areas. It is not a lift, but does give improvement.

Answer: Don’t walk RUN Did the surgeon show you lots of before and after pictures of previous patients who had the same treatment? I’m guessing they did NOT. I purchased Renuvion early after its introduction as a cosmetic treatment device. The device was invented to treat endometriosis which is a gynecological Condition. At that time, it was known as J-plasma.My firsthand experience has been that Renuvion delivers no visible or measurable skin tightening. I asked every single patient who had the treatment if they could appreciate skin tightening and NOT A SINGLE patient has ever said they thought their skin was more tight after the treatment. Likewise, I personally could not tell any difference between those who had Renuvion and those who had not. The device will melt fat which will cause you to lose some breast volume, and this in turn will cause sagging of your breast not a lift. I guarantee you no one else is going to agree with what I say but I speak from firsthand experience having spent over $100,000 on a device that delivers nothing. I really really wanted this device to work because I was hoping to be able to deliver skin tightening in conjunction with lip or suction which is the primary procedure my practice is focused on. Eventually it became clear the device did not do what the company claimed and I could no longer in clear conscience recommend the treatment let alone charge thousands of dollars for it. The placebo effect is in full force and those who have spent $120,000 buying a new device are finding it difficult to accept the truth and keep pushing for an ROI(return on investment). If you go back 20 years in time, the exact same claims Renuvion is making today was touted by the laser company Cynosure for their smart Lipo laser assisted Liposuction device. Just like Renuvion, the laser heats the back of the skin, but ultimately failed to deliver significant skin tightening, and eventually plastic surgeons recognized that the device did not deliver anything close to what the company claimed. Just like diet fads that come and go so does skin tightening devices. The market for skin tightening without leaving scars is infinite!!!! Please save your money and don’t sign up for a procedure that is going to make you worse and cost thousands of dollars to boot. The risk of benefit ratio to this procedure is simply reversed. There’s simply zero benefit and all risk, cost, and unnecessary surgery. Again, he won’t find many plastic surgeons who are willing to acknowledge what is in my opinion blatant. I don’t really care what people think about me. My only objective is to be a patient advocate. If you need a breast lift, then either do a proper breast lift or live with the way your body is.
