Hello, and thank you for your question. You will feel mostly normal and ready to return to your natural lifestyle and activities after two to three weeks, so traveling after a month should be okay. But to know for sure, it is best to ask the surgeon who will be performing your surgery. The extent of recovery will depend on how aggressive his/her surgical techniques are. A reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon will be able to address all your concerns and questions and help you achieve a smooth recovery process. Hope that helps!
Hi and thanks for your question! As long as your healing process goes normally, you should be fine to fly a month afterwards as the most critical parts of healing should be completed by then. Usually I tell my patients to wait 4 weeks before going into full exercise again which is the most risky activity after facelift surgery. Flying does not put as much stress on the body as heavy exercise and should be fine at that timepoint if all goes normally.
Depending on the surgery scale and each individual's healing process, travel limitations may differ. It is best to ask your surgeon about the travel limitations. Usually my facelift patients can fly after 2weeks, but there may be some swelling and bruises left. I recommend patients to avoid water contact, excessive sports, and sauna for about 2months. It will be helpful to prepare emergency medication for your trip. Thank you.
Generally speaking, one month should be totally fine to travel after facelift. However, Please consult with your operating surgeon and confirm with him/her
Thank you for your question. This question should really be asked to your surgeon performing the procedure. At our practice, we have a lot of people that travel from out of town to have their procedure and we are usually okay with them flying home after their sutures are removed (around day 8 after surgery). Best of luck!
Hello Dear @Fit4life21 thank you for your question. It is always important to take into consideration the opinion of the specialist who performed the surgery. It depends a lot on the surgical technique and the technology used in this procedure. Usually one month is a prudent time. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
Most people can fly one month after a facelift. I might ask some other questions about activities planned for your vacation. For example, it might not be a good activity to go snorkeling or diving at one month due to the pressure placed on your face. If you plan to just go out and chill, then it should be fine. You should discuss this with your surgeon.
It’s always best to check with your surgeon but one month should be more than enough time to travel. I’m sure you’ll love your result
Thank you for your questions. Healing time from a facelift varies based on exactly what is being done. In general, 4 weeks post op most patients are still very swollen and in the beginning stages of healing. I recommend discussing your travel plans with your surgeon. They will know exactly what is being done and a realistic post op plan for you. Good luck!
It's always best to check with your operative surgeon, but in our practice that would be acceptable. Choose your surgeon wisely based on producing natural results. Study your prospective surgeon's before and after facelift photo Gallery
The choice of approach for a mid facelift would depend on the specific needs of the patient and the surgeon's preference and expertise. However, in general, the approach through the lower eyelid may be more effective for patients with a negative vector. A negative vector refers to a drooping or...
By looking at the post-operative pictures, although there is some improvement in the jowling area, there's not much improvement of the nasolabial folds, and in the positioning of the volume of the mid face. Also, the brows seems to be too low, although they may not have been treated at the same...
Either procedure can be done first; it depends on which aspect of your face bothers you more. A facelift usually takes about 3 months to see optimal results but subtle refinements can be seen after that. It will not widen your nose. Rhinoplasty takes at least a year— longer in revision...
