Question

I had my breast implant and mastoplexy surgery 4 years ago. My right implant is basically in my arm pit and can cause residual swelling at times to surrounding area. Im in discomfort a lot but it does not feel rock solid like im told is a contracture. Also my left side seems to be bottomed out? Im at a loss. 595 cc. My right never settled properly but I was told to just keep waiting and massage. here we are years later and I am devastated. Any advice?

Thank you for your question.  I have been in practice for over 30 years and revisionary breast surgery is a large portion of my practice.  I have written many papers on this topic.  You definitely need an internal bra/capsulorrhaphy procedure to get your implants in the correct position and closer together.  Also, your areolas are a little low,and you definitely need a revision of your mastopexy/lift.  You should be able to have an excellent result.  Best wishes to you.

Your breasts have descended inferiorly and laterally, you have not cleavage and the breasts are asymmetrical in volume, shape and position. At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using the Bellesoma. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired.

Hello, thank you for your question. Four years is too soon for capsular contracture; there is a problem with the pocket of your right breast, specifically the implant’s placement. That needs to be corrected. We can offer you the option of a new breast lift surgery with new implants. This way, we can fix the downward-pointing position of your nipples and the asymmetrical appearance of the implants.
