Thank you for your question. The duration of the breast band depends on a lot of factors.  Often it is not needed at all. If it is needed, usually a textured implant  will require it for a longer time and an implant under the muscle will require it for a longer time. Usually it is left in place until the implants are close to their intended position.  The best approach is to ask your plastic surgeon; he or she will know exactly how the surgery was performed and weigh all of these factors to give you the best advice.  Best wishes.

Thank you for your question. Every plastic surgeon is different in their approach for post-operative care after a breast augmentation. In my practice, each patient receives a customized post-operative plan because not everyone heals the same way. I suggest you speak with your PS or contact their office to find out what their recommendation is for you. For many patients in my practice, wearing a regular (non push-up) bra or swimsuit 4 weeks after surgery is a possibility- however, I cannot stress enough the importance of having this conversation with your PS first.
