I will be having coolsculpting on a very small amount of fat on my lower abs. I work out often. My weight fluctuates 5 lbs between 175 and 180. Is it better to be at my max weight or minimum weight for the best results?
Answer: Coolsculpting and fat cells Thank you for your question, it is usually best to be close to your goal weight when having procedure. Coolsculpting is a possible option for you, as long as the unwanted fat is pinchable. Once you have a consult with a Coolsculpting certified office, you can come up with a plan of action to obtain the best results for you.

Answer: Lose weight before CoolSculpting? Dear 2qt2bu: Each CoolSculpting applicator treats the same volume of fat whether the cells are large or small. When you are thinner, each cell is smaller and therefore a larger number of the cells will be treated in the same volume. However, the amount of fat that will go away will look the same to you. One might argue that it is ideal to be at the lower end of your weight before treatment so that more fat cells are eliminated, but only if you know you will be gaining weight afterward. This is because when you gain weight, every fat cell in your body gets a little larger, and if there are fewer cells in the treated area you will put on less weight in that area. Also, we may be splitting hairs here, as I don't believe that the difference would be noticeable unless you lost a large amount of weight before treatment, such as 20 pounds or more. If this degree of weight loss is not practical, you will still have a great treatment at your current weight. I hope this is not confusing. All the best, Dr. Clark

Answer: CoolSculpting The treatment works if the area to be treated can fit easily into the applicator. Being to thin makes the treatment less effective.

Answer: My weight and Coolsculpting A small amount of weight fluctuation should not effect your Coolsculpting result since Coolsculpting destroys a percentage of the fat. Whether you are 5 pounds heavier or not won't effect the percentage. Consider two treatments to an area. You should be very impressed with the results.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa Aesthetic Centers
