At our center, we use Zimmer Z-wave radial pulsed therapy after CoolSculpting to optimize results. Depending on the condition of the patient's skin, we might also add in further skin tightening with Ultrasound (Ulthera) or Radiofrequency (Thermage or Thermi 250) to tighten the skin if necessary. Laser is used less frequently, but could also help to tighten loose skin. The interesting thing however is that usually the skin tightens with just CoolSculpting alone. The other devices generate heat in the tissues, which triggers skin tightening. Zimmer Z-wave helps smooth out the remaining fat and tissue after CoolSculpting, leading to more uniform results. Its actions are similar to a manual massage, but greatly enhanced. We have found that CoolSculpting is more comfortable when combined with Zimmer Z-Wave and post-procedure bruising is decreased. Final results are also about 50% better than in patients who opt for CoolSculpting alone. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist to find out if you are a candidate for CoolSculpting with Zimmer Z-Wave.
