I am still in the process of healing from a rhinoplasty I had one week ago!!! Life changing. I know I don’t have the results yet..but, I wanted to write a review on this process. I know that the outcome will take up to a year to truly be what it will be, and I know that it’s in God’s hands now. I have been wanting a nose job for as long as I can imagine. I have always been insecure when I look in the mirror.. at my side profile and dorsal hump. I hated my smile and wide nose bridge and droopy tip. I hated when someone would be closed to me, or take pictures of my face. It became a threat to my mental health. I wanted to still look like me, but fix this insecurity . I never imagined that I would be able to get this fixed. I was scared because of money, or recovery time, or outside judgement. I mean this is my face. The center of my face. It’s a huge leap of faith to trust someone to literally rearrange the center of your face. Since I was born 32 years ago, I have only know this nose. I was scared but knew it was now or never. It was the right time. I knew I wanted to find a Dr I felt at ease with internally. I did research and asked around, and foundDr Rubach. He has over 20 years of experience, has extensive education and experience, and has a confidence and calming demonstration. From the consultation to now, him and his team have been nothing but graceful, confident and helpful. I’ve felt at peace with open communication. There has always been details and information provided. During my consultation, Dr Rubach addressed my concerns and provided his feedback. I trusted him. One reason is, I love a goal of his is to keep me looking like myself— and provide natural longterm results . He wasn’t trying to make me doubt my concerns, or sell me more changes. I felt too comfortable- almost like I was supposed to have more questions. This is a life changing procedure, but I’m someone that truly believes in trusting your gut. I knew that he was a doctor that I would choose to do this life-changing procedure. We forget as clients, this is a craft- an art. It takes precision, and detail on a whole different scale. Everything leading up to the surgery day has been simple and graceful. I honestly haven’t stressed- just more excited . I feel taken care of, and understood. I am so grateful to have a Dr that has so much experience and knowledge. It makes me fully trust this process. This past week post op- I’ve been in minimal pain, swelling on day 2 and 3 mostly. I have bruising as expected. Thank God Dr Rubach was able to do a closed rhinoplasty- and not put sutures up my nose! I know it’s not gonna be easy when my cask comes off..I’ve watched so many YouTube videos— I know I’ll look like avatar or it will be so swollen. I want results right away but, Dr. Rubach specializes in this craft. I trust him. I’ve had trauma to my face. I’m ready to let it heal. I’m so excited for my results though and to love who I see staring back at me. I highly recommend rhinoplasty to anyone who understands this post. If you are ready to take that next step- contact Dr. Rubach and his team. I will update soon with results and pictures!
I really wish Dr. Rubach had more reviews on here because he really deserves it. I truly believe his patients would rate him 5-stars practically every time. Dr. Rubach did my rhinoplasty 11 months ago and it was one of the best decisions of my life. It feels amazing to have a newfound confidence and I trusted Dr. Rubach throughout the entire process. The healing process for a rhinoplasty is very slow and Dr. Rubach reassured me, by allowing me to come back for multiple visits/progress checks, that our end shape could take up to 2 years. I love my nose more and more everyday! Furthermore, the office is very clean and the staff is very accommodating and welcoming. If you are considering a cosmetic procedure, I would recommend Dr. Rubach to anyone I know!
Got a face and chin lift and had resurfacing to smooth lines around mouth and chin. It looked fantastic. I'm very light and I was told my face would be red for months, but after a two weeks it was only pink and easily covered with makeup. Since I was under anesthesia, I felt no pain. Afterword for two weeks I had to pile on the Aquaphor, which was a mess, but really aided in healing. It was the middle of winter so no one thought it off that I wore a scarf to cover the lower half of my face.
I decided to have the procedure so my outward appearance projected my energetic personality and lifestyle. My eyes prior to the procedure looked tired. No amount of makeup would brighten my appearance. Now I can smile and look alert and full of energy. The healing process was uneventful. I did not have any pain or complications. I had complimentary sessions with the aesthetician where she offered advise on how to apply makeup throughout my different stages of healing. The nursing staff met with me at my post operative appointments and gave me verbal and written instructions on how to assure the best results.
Always wanted bump remover from bridge and I always has a droppy tip. I had the surgery done 10 weeks ago and after the first week I was given a steroid shot to helpwith the tip swelling then at three week check up I also had another injection to help with tip swelling and at my eight week checkup I also had two injections after that my nose tip swelled more and uneven and now the doctor thinks there's inflammation from maybe hitting a nerve or a blood vessel in my nose is this normal should I get a second opinion he wants to go back in and do more surgery to clean out the inflamation Updated on 12 Feb 2015: Since my last post I did talk to my surgeon and he agrees it isn't healing he believes it's a suture causing Inflamation and is doing another open thinoplasty to look around and take out what is causing this. And at no cost to me. He really is a great surgeon and great bedside manor. I will let you know how it goes I'm having it done 2/23 Updated on 23 Feb 2015: Well today was my surgery. And it was a suture causing Inflamation the doctor also added a small graph to the right side of my nose and improved the tip. Not sure exactly what he did because I was still out of it lol. I will know more next week when I see him also I did not have a poly beak thank god!! I can't wait to see results. I will up date next week. Also my doctor is double board certified as an ent and facial plastic surgery reconstruction. So I knew I was in good hands. And all of this was at no charge he said he promises me a beautiful noae and he wasn't satisfied and he also said it would be unethical to charge me. :) Updated on 2 Mar 2015: Today my splint came off and everything looks great. My doctor did take out a suture that was causing all the Inflamation and replaced it with a dissolvable one. I'm still pretty swollen but I love how my nose looks now. Thanks for Eveyones support it really helped. :)
After 3 kids, I have a huge tummy that I can't seem to get rid of as you can see by my pictures. Chasing around 3 kids, doesn't leave a ton of time or motivation for exercise, but I am pretty active with them and eat a good diet, which helps in other areas of my body, just not the tummy. I turned 40 this year and decided its finally time to do something about it. The cosmetic surgery place by me had a Cool Sculpting demo day where you could buy 3 areas and get a 4th area for free, so I decided to bite the bullet and go for it! On 12/1/14, I had the love handles and lower abdomen done. It was an hour for each side and the lower ab, plus 1 hour of prep/ after wards, so a total of 4 hours. I'm going back in 4 weeks for the 2nd lower ab treatment and upper abdomen. While the love handles wasn't great - it felt like a huge clamp on my sides, it was bearable, but whoa! the lower abdomen packed a wallop! I have a high pain tolerance, but this had me holding the sides of the bed for about 10 minutes. Then, as with the sides, it becomes numb and you don't feel anything. I was working when the love handles were done, but you have to lay down for the lower ab, so no more working. After the treatment, the area was really cold and as it started to heat up, it hurt a little, kind of like when you come in after playing in the snow. That went away after a few minutes. The massage afterwards was not fun, but necessary so you don't have a big block of butter where you got the treatment. It is Day 4 after and it feels a little weird, like numb on the surface, but maybe bruised underneath? I am still waiting for the prickliness that most people say they got on Day 5. The day right after, I was walking around and my whole tummy jiggled around, prob from the swelling, but hope its bc the treatment got all the fat up and taking it away! I really had little discomfort with this, the only bad thing was when my little ones would crawl on me or try to hug me, but other than that, it hasn't been bad painwise. I am really hoping this works, but I feel very optimistic! Updated on 20 Mar 2015: I went to the Dr office to get some "after" pictures on March 4, which was about 14 weeks after my first session and almost 10 weeks after my second session. To be honest, i could barely see a difference and I'm so disappointed. In the upper abs, I could see a very slight change in the contour, but nothing else. In fact, the pictures looked almost identical and you had to be really looking for a difference. Initially, I had lost a few lbs and I thought I could see some difference, but I guess the pictures don't lie. I really wanted this to be successful, esp given the cost and the discomfort after. I have an appt to go back in 2 weeks, bc they wanted to give a few more weeks to see if there would be a difference. If not, they said they would talk about other options, although I don't think I will go through it again.
Great experience. Look the same only younger, and have recommended it to my friends. My choice to go with dr. Rubach was based on glowing recommendations. The recovery was fast and relatively painless, better than I had expected. Will look forward to my next experience in a few years. This is what facial refreshening is all about.
I went in for a consultation with Dr. Rubach to discuss face treatments. I am not ready for plastic surgery, but did want to know if there was anything I could do to add some more fullness to my face. Dr. Rubach suggested Voluma, and I am so glad he did! I know have cheekbones and love it! I highly recommend this treatment.
This review for those are looking to do a rhinoplasty. While doctor Rubach have good manners and a good listener to his patients, I want to make sure you read this before you decide on your rhinoplasty. I did my research and dr. Rubach is a double board certified surgeon and he only do faces, which is great. However, he told me few things that I didn’t pick up on when he did my rhinoplasty and now I regret it. I had a crooked long nose. He told me during the consultation that he’ll bring the hump down, which he did. But he said that it’s going to be hard to fix the crooked tip of my nose. He said he’ll do it in a way that’s not very noticeable( big mistake!)It’s been almost 3 years after my rhinoplasty and it’s still very crooked and on top of that my columella is hanging. Also, my right nostril is much smaller than the left one and makes it hard to breath. What I’m trying to say is that most surgeons can bring your hump down but only skilled ones will be able to work and fix the tip of your nose. My advice is to look for a surgeon who Only does noses! In addition, the day of the surgery, I was very nervous and cried a bit. I hoped that the team would make it a bit easy for me and calm my nerves down but the anesthesiologist kept telling me “ it’s your choice, you can leave if you want to”. Thinking about it now makes me sick to my stomach because this is not the way to calm a person that’s having a surgery down. I thought this was mean. After 2 years of looking for a revision surgeon, I just found one. It’s very expensive and far from where I live and it’s not going to be an easy surgery especially that I don’t have enough cartridge left in my nose. Please don’t just look for a board certified surgeon, look for a skilled one which means a surgeon who only does noses and thousands of noses! And Read through their words!
Don't trust this doctor. My skin and face were destroyed by his office. I was horribly burned and I now am suffering terrible consequences by seeing this doctor. He takes zero responsibility when something goes wrong. I now have burns, scares and my skin is so damaged. I now have to spend thousands of dollars to try to make it better but my face will never be the same. I wish I never met Dr. Rubach or anyone who works in his office
Fraxel or other laser treatments address the skin while liposuction manages the fatty tissue below the skin. Often, laser treatments are done in conjunction with other surgical procedures such as liposuction or facelift surgery. There is no contraindication to having a procedure done 2 weeks after fraxel treatment.
Any cosmetic procedure has the potential to create unnatural results, whether surgical or non surgical. The absolutely essential component is that the clinical practitioner that is providing the service has a strong sense of facial aesthetics, an understanding of natural contours, and the skill set to deliver results that enhance facial contour but do not create an unnatural look. There are plenty of people who have had cosmetic procedures that look natural and look great. These are the results that do not jump out as unusual and in my opinion are the signs of excellent skills. I look for my patients to hear that they look great, or are asked if they lost weight or changed their hairstyle. These are signs that they look great but people cannot tell what it is that has added a little boost to their appearance. People that look unnatural stand out and give the impression that all cosmetic procedures create an undesirable result. This is simply not the case. I would recommend taking a look at before and after photos of patients from the specific practitioner that you are considering and make sure that your expectations are in line with the outcomes presented.
It appears that there are significant remaining wrinkles of the lower eyelid skin. I would suggest ablative laser resurfacing to the lower eyelid skin. This procedure significantly increases collagen in the skin and significantly reduces wrinkles. I would suggest botox before the procedure as it relaxes that skin and reduces wrinkles during the healing phase which is essential for an optimal outcome.
This likely is a dissolvable suture that has come to the surface. I would contact your surgeon and this is easily removed in the office with minimal discomfort.
It is difficult to answer your question without seeing photos of your nose. The cosmetic appearance of the nose is dependent on all parts of the nose coming together in a balanced way. The nasal structure is divided into thirds, the upper , middle and lower third. It is rare that a single change to one area is the only surgical improvement that would be necessary. I recommend a consultation by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon. Ask how many rhinoplasty procedures the surgeon does annually before scheduling a consult. This should be a minimum of 25 procedures.
