Coolsculpting is a great treatment for removing stubborn areas of fat and it works best in combination with other treatments. I recommend adding a combination of radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. In our practice, we use a Fire and Ice treatment of Coolsculpting with Vanquish and are getting great results. VASER with ThermiRF are a great alternative. Sculpsure does very little for skin tightening and fat reduction compared to coolsculpting. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
In our opinion, Coolsculpting is a better option than Sculpsure. Coolsculpting has been one of the most popular non-surgical methods of reducing unwanted fat for many years now. And the technology and treatment protocols continue to advance - giving patients fantastic results for no surgery, no needles and no downtime.
Thank you for your question. If you are looking to remove stubborn subcutaneous fat then Coolsculpting is your best option. Coolsculpting is a great noninvasive treatment to remove unwanted fat. I recommend having a consultation with an expert to determine what procedure is best for you. Best of Luck!
It's my firm opinion that SculpSure is the best laser technology for reducing body fat, surpassing other technologies including CoolSculpting. Many find CoolSculpting painful and requiring longer and more frequent treatments whereas the opposite is true for SculpSure. Furthermore, SculpSure allows small areas of fat to be treated allowing better contoured results that are customized to each individual. And finally, unlike CoolSculpt, SculpSure can treat twice the body areas in half the time and may improve the skin surface as well because only SculpSure stimulates collagen.Even with diet and exercise, most people have stubborn pockets of fat that seem impossible to lose. SculpSure targets and permanently destroys these fat cells without surgery, downtime, redness or pain. SculpSure is the newest non-surgical 25 minute procedure that uses light-based technology to permanently destroy up to 24% of fat per treatment. Each treatment goes deeper into the fat layer for additive results. The laser uses heat at high temperatures to destroy fat and most patients do not experience pain during the treatment and the applicators can be adjusted if any discomfort is felt.
Hi there, good question!Coolsculpting technology has been around the longest of any of the non-invasive fat reduction technologies. It has the most FDA approvals and has proven outcomes with more peer reviewed journal articles than any other technology. With elective treatments, I always counsel my patients to choose the treatment/technology that's been around the longest and has the most data to support their outcomes. Hope this helps!
Our practice has and uses both. It really depends on the patient and the area being treated what would work better. I would see a provider with experience with both products to get a better answer after an in person exam.
We have both devices in our office, and so are in the unique position to adequately compare them. As far as we are concerned, SculpSure is the much better device. Both will give about the same results at about 20-25%, and both do permanent fat reduction. But because Coolsculpting has the significant suction component to draw the fat into the handpiece, it has much greater complications, with most patients experiencing pain, swelling, bruising, numbness, and often times nodularity afterwards. Since SculpSure does not have any suction component, we find patients tolerate it much, much better. SS has 4 separate handpieces, so we can customize the treatment to meet a patients needs, and can treat multiple areas at a time, while CS can only do one area at a time. SS is faster at 25 minutes, versus 1 hour for CS (although the newer versions have been reduced to 35 minutes, still longer). And, if one is treating a symmetric area, like arms or flanks, CS may be 2 hours (one hour for each side), versus 25 minutes with SS. Finally, because SS works by laser, it provides the added benefit of collagen stimulation, so it gives a skin tightening component to help with smoother, more supple skin appearance.
Coolsculpting is a fabulous and tested way to reduce a fat bulge in a given area. Coolsculpting has a great track record and gives consistently excellent results. Sculpture is a new technology and is more painful without a long track record. Vanquish also has good results especially when combined with Coolsculpting. Please consult an expert in these non-surgical procedures for the best results. Best, Dr. Green
Coolsculpting has been used successfully for over 6 years in clinical practice and removes 22-24% of the subcutaneous fat, where as the FDA trials for sculpsure only show a 13% reduction. This information is presented in the last page of the attached link for the sculpsure FDA trial ." There was an average of 13% normalized fat reduction based on ultrasound measurements at 12 weeks"
