I recently had a consultation for coolsculpting. The office I went to routinely schedules the second session 4 weeks after the first. I thiought this was odd since most people don't see results until 6-8 weeks. When I asked her why so soon she simply stated that's what seems to work best. I'm hesitant to schedule mine so close together even though I realize that I will likely need two treatments. Any advice?

We customize our treatment plan for each individual person. We will do a second treatment from anywhere between 6 weeks to 3 months after the first. We have seen excellent results with this approach. Answer: Coolsculpting timing It is safe to proceed with CoolSculpting four weeks after your first session. The advantage to waiting for 3 months is that you will see your result and can then decide if you would like more treatments, however if you are certain that you will have two treatments then go ahead, you will reach your end result sooner.All the best to you,Dr. Nancy de Kleer

For patients who know they will need a second treatment and do not want to wait the 3 months we will then retreat after 1 month. I would say it's safe to have the second treatment 1 month after. Most patients want to see the transformation after the first treatment, which is why we wait. Best of luck!
