If I getting CoolSculpting done now, will it help my results before my tummy tuck? Or am I wasting my money?

You should be getting liposuction with your tummy tuck to get the best in full contouring.  There is no reason you should have coolsculpting done prior to this.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The tummy tuck is also combined with liposuction which will help further remove the fat and contour your body. There really would be no point in doing the CoolSculpting beforehand. Hope this helps.

You are correct that CoolSculpting can reduce fat but will not tighten the skin.  If you are planning on having the tummy tuck, the excess fat can be addressed at that time during the surgery.  In my opinion, I would skip the CoolSculpting and just deal with the fat and skin at the time of your tummy tuck.  

In my opinion, doing CoolSculpting prior to a tummy tuck is not cost-effective. During a tummy tuck, liposuction is performed to help separate the skin prior to redraping. During this procedure the fat that would be reduced with CoolSculpting can be removed. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You can discuss with your surgeon the possibility of adding liposuction since you'll be in the operating room. Have the surgery first and after your full recovery you can decide if you want to fine tune anything with CoolSculpting.

If you are planning a tummy tuck and breast lift within 6 months, then Coolsculpting for your abdomen is really not necessary.  Many patients that are interested in or that have had a tummy tuck do choose Coolsculpting for other areas (arms, thighs, under the chin).Congratulations on your weight loss. Your Plastic surgeon should guide you on this but I would get to your goal/ideal body weight.  Once stable at that weight have the body contouring surgery you prefer and go from there. CoolSculpting is a completely non-invasive therapy and can be performed  at any time.

If anyone wants to do this to you they are just after money. It makes no sense to have this done. If after your tummy tuck there are areas of concern, it might be an option but not before. A tummy tuck should take care of most of the fat, particularly if paired with liposuction.
