You want someone who has localized areas of fat and wants contouring, if you are too large it will require many treatments and be very expensive for little return. I suggest seeing an expert. I find that liposculpture is much more effective return on your money and results. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Xrania. Your waist size is not as important for CoolSculpting as the distribution and quality of your fat. You need to have pinchable fat in order to be a good candidate for the CoolSculpting treatment. The best way to determine this is through an in-person consultation and evaluation with an experienced physician. I was a 34-inch waist when I got my CoolSculpting treatment and I saw amazing results! Hope this helps answer your question.
There is no limitation to CoolSculpting based strictly on a single body measurement. CoolSculpting definitely shapes bodies permanently as long as you maintain a stable weight. It works best to treat areas of stubborn bulges; the first place you gain weight and the last place you lose. How well CoolSculpting may work for you is best determined by an in person consultation with a practice that has a lot of experience with the practice. We LOVE CoolSculpting at ArtfulSurgery.!
A 32 inch waist would not prevent someone from having CoolSculpting, but you would need to be examined to determine if you might be a good candidate for the procedure.
Ideal candidates for the CoolSculpting procedure are relatively fit, but have some modest-size fat bulges that are not easily reduced through diet and exercise. They are seeking spot reduction for specific areas of fat, but are not considering a surgical procedure. The CoolSculpting procedure is not intended for weight loss or obesity, and it is not a substitute for invasive methods such as liposuction.
Candidates for CoolSculpting are not limited by waist size. The treatment can be used on a person of any waist size or weight. Success of the treatment ultimately depends on the starting thickness of the targeted fat bulge. Each treatment typically reduces the fat pad by 15-30%, so multiple treatments may be required for thicker areas of fat. At the same time, the treatment is not meant to reduce waist size or weight. However, after the treatment you should notice that your clothes fit better, and the treated areas will appear flatter.
Thank you for your question. Temporary numbness in the treatment area following a CoolSculpting procedure is one of the typical side effects. Cryolipolysis, the scientific process on which the CoolSculpting procedure is based, involves lowering the temperature of fat cells so they begin to die...
Thanks for your question. Coolsculpting may not be the best treatment for apron fat. It is best for smaller fatty pockets. I would recommend a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss surgical options.
Thank you for this question. Many of the patients at my practice in California's Bay Area are interested in CoolSculpting to reduce fat in their upper arms. The procedure is cleared by the FDA for treatments that reduce fat in the abdomen, flanks, thighs, and under the chin. So treating the...
CoolSculpting can provide a 20-30% reduction in fat in the right candidate after one treatment, with final results usually being seen after about 3 months. The change will not be dramatic; rather, CoolSculpting provides subtle contouring of the body. Multiple treatments may be done in patients...
Thank you for your question, maryweems. Neither CoolSculpting nor SculpSure will cause arrhythmia. Both are safe, and I mention SculpSure because it is the only FDA-approved laser treatment for fat and - unlike competitors - is painless. SculpSure has defeated other competitors in all ...
