You want someone who has localized areas of fat and wants contouring, if you are too large it will require many treatments and be very expensive for little return.  I suggest seeing an expert.  I find that liposculpture is much more effective return on your money and results.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi Xrania. Your waist size is not as important for CoolSculpting as the distribution and quality of your fat. You need to have pinchable fat in order to be a good candidate for the CoolSculpting treatment. The best way to determine this is through an in-person consultation and evaluation with an experienced physician. Candidates for CoolSculpting are not limited by waist size.  The treatment can be used on a person of any waist size or weight.  Success of the treatment ultimately depends on the starting thickness of the targeted fat bulge.  Each treatment typically reduces the fat pad by 15-30%, so multiple treatments may be required for thicker areas of fat.  At the same time, the treatment is not meant to reduce waist size or weight.  However, after the treatment you should notice that your clothes fit better, and the treated areas will appear flatter.
