I had Botox 2 weeks ago and 2 days after injection. I have had a horrible sinus headache and pressure in my head and face?

Question

Can botox cause sinus pressure in temples and eyes and ears as well as stiff neck and face tingling? It started 2 days after botox and I'm going on day 12 of huge pressure in head. Was treated for possible sinus infection with no relief.

Some people may experience a headache after their injections, but it usually resolves soon after treatment. It is unlikely this is the cause of the headache you're describing. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi there,I would advise you to go to the doctor to have your symptoms looked at. Botox usually doesn't cause these types of symptoms and it might be something severe that randomly came up after your treatment

In the initial clinical trials some patients did experience headache and it is reported infrequently now.  It is not certain as to the cause but it should go away in a day or so and is of no significance

Some people do experience a transient headache immediately after receiving Botox. However, it does not sound like what you are experiencing. I would follow up with your primary care physician or ENT to discuss your issues and receive further workup.
