If my Botox already works 4 days after, how much more can it do?

It is not uncommon that you would see an effect from a Botox treatment 4 days afterwards.  Sometimes, it can take longer though.  You most likely are seeing the full effect and things should not appreciably change.  

This may be the extent of your results. In some cases, it can take up to 1-2 weeks, but not always. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. Best, Dr. Emer

Dear ashmakeup,Botox is generally an on off switch for muscle activity. I get a fair amount of actors/actresses in my practice that are looking to reduce wrinkles but keep some expression. Thank you for your question. Fourteen days is a generous estimate for how long it takes to see the final results after getting BOTOX®, as not everyone does see their results so quickly. However, it is not uncommon to see your full results within 1 week or less. As you had a relatively small dose, I don’t believe you have much to worry about in terms of having “too extreme” results. ashmakeup,A typical response to botox starts around day 3-4 and often full effect is seen by 7 days.  It sounds like you had a good response to the dosage given so I doubt that you will see much more a difference over the next week.

Most of the time it takes longer for Botox to work but in some like you it can work sooner and the result will be what you like and not too severe so don't worry

It is not unusual to see the full effects of botox as early as 4 days but typically the full benefits occur in 2 weeks.  20 units of botox to treat both the forehead and glabella is on the conservative side so I wouldn't worry too much about looking too "frozen."  In addition to softening wrinkles, botox also improves the appearance of pore size, making your overall skin texture smooth and flawless.

20 units is the recommended quantity for the glabella. (the 11's) alone. What that means is, using the recommended amount you will get the correction and duration from your treatment. Meanwhile, using 20 units in the glabella and the forehead is considered a lower dose. Typically most patients see results starting about day 3 but can take up to 10 for full results. Starting with small dosing is a great way to introduce a new patient into having a Botox treatment. In addition, about 10 days post treatment, first time botox patients should always revisit there practitioners office to reevaluate the quantity is perfect for you. Dosing does vary from patient to patient. 

Twenty units of Botox to treat the glabella (11mark) and the forehead (line) is very light dose. The average botox patient gets 25-30 units and the glabella alone and 8-10 units to treat the forehead. Patients can start to see results as soon as 3-4 days but final peak results is 2 weeks. It is wise to start "light" as you and your provider did with the thought that you can always add more yet cannot take away. Good news is you will regain full movement in 3-4 months as the botox wears off. You can always do even less units next time if you do not want the overly frozen look. Pre botox and post botox pictures would have been helpful. Hope this helps.
