What type of procedure would best remove my double chin? (Photo)

I’ve done a bit of research and found that chin liposuction seems to be the best way to get rid of a double chin however kybella, cool sculpt, a neck lift, or chin implant can also work but have varied results and depend on your anatomy. For background I have had a double chin since I was young. I was previously pretty skinny about 130lbs and had it and now I’m about 185lbs and still have it. I would be willing to lose weight before the procedure if necessary.

It will be absolutely necessary to lose weight before you consider any type of not surgical or surgical procedure. 
It will be also mandatory to remain stable because your facial tissues as well as your body tissues won’t tolerate putting and losing weight, otherwise you will end up saggy all over your body, face included. And after that no return point.

Since you are very young, you are a very good candidate for neck liposuction. Other options like Kybella work fairly well but definitely not as well as actually removing the fat. Losing some weight would also be a good idea and would give you the best results. Good luck!

As we age, collagen breaks down, resulting in loss of skin strength and elasticity. For tissue tightening, Ultherapy is ideal for the lower face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Morpheus8 to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity.

Hello, hope you are well. There are 3 procedures to consider: chin liposuction, NeckTite w/ liposuction, and a deep neck lift. These will give you good, better, and best results, respectively. Chin liposuction removes fat directly underneath the skin in the subcutaneous layer. We can combine that with NeckTite to tighten the soft tissue envelope around the jawline and further reduce the fat in that layer with radiofrequency energy. Finally, a deep neck lift allows even further contouring by removing the deep layer of fat that exists beneath the platysma muscle. A chin implant, CoolSculpting, and/or Kybella will likely result in disappointment. Especially since you still had the double at your lowest weight, it would be worthwhile to consider the neck lift option. Hope this helps!

You most likely have significant fat deposits located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat deposits above the muscle. A neck lift procedure accomplishes fat removal above the muscle with liposuction, and surgical extraction of the fat deposits below the muscle, which also includes a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline. Your BMI should be less than 32 before undergoing this type of procedure for best results

In my experience, especially for younger patients liposuction of the neck gives, essentially, immediate results.  The swelling and bruising is minimal and the results allow the neck to have a beautiful contour.

The reason you have and have had a double chin is that the body of your mandible is small esp in relation to your maxilla. The mentalis or chin region of the mandible projects nicely so you don’t need chin augmentation, 
Still, on profile pictures your upper lip projects a lot more than your lower lip. You also most likely have a significant overbite dental occlusion. Individuals who have aesthetic beauty as they get older tend to have a more ideal bone structure that serves as a foundation to support the soft tissues. 
Individuals like Carmen Dell'Orefice come to mind when we think of those who have fairly ideal aesthetics. What makes her jawline so great even in old age is not just avoiding sun damage. Her beauty comes from having been born with ideal facial bone structure. That large mandible protects her from developing a double chin, loss of jawline definition, jowls, and deep nasolabial folds. 
Liposuction may give improvement but is not a treatment that addresses the primary problem which is bone structure. 
Recognize when you attempt soft tissue solutions for skeletal problems the best patients should expect are partial improvement. 
Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is also harder than most people most people realize. 
The number of plastic surgeons that have mastered liposuction is pretty small. Most plastic surgeons think they are better at liposuction than they actually are. Finding the right provider for chin liposuction is not at all easy or straightforward. 
To start the process I suggest patients schedule multiple in person consultation with local providers who seem to do a lot of liposuction. 
During each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who had similar facial characteristics. 
An experienced surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. This should be the case for whatever procedure you choose.
There are different options you can choose from. If you want a formal assessment from a facial skeletal perspective consider consulting with Oral surgeons in your area. For soft tissue treatment consult with plastic surgeons.
