Realistic expectation is based on what you discussed with your doctor before your surgery.  3500 grafts may sound like a high number and it may cover a respectable area but it probably will not give you full density (especially when you keep you hair very short).

The objective of a hair transplant is that you results will match the density of hairs that you have on the sides and the back of your head. It is difficult to make a determination of your results based on these 9 days post op photos. All I can say that it looks very decent and clean at the moment. Best of luck 

The amount of hair growth depends on the doctors over all plan.  Each doctor designs and plans differently.  At this point you need to be patient until you see th final result in about one year. 

Your post operative care is inadequate as there is too much crusting on your scalp. IF have significant crusting, you did not do
the correct wash immediately after the surgery as you should not have any
significant crusts by the first 3-4 days. 3500 grafts will cover a reasonable amount of area but may produce a see through donor ara as the donor area has been thinned significantly.
