Im 5'2", 108lbs not a lot of loose skin but originally wanted full abdominoplasty and have met a few board certified plastic surgeons and was told mini was better for me with liposuction to abdomen and back. Im worried I will wish I did the full tummy tuck after and dont want to have any regrets. Should I continue with plan for mini or opt for full?

Answer: Will I benefit from mini tummy tuck? Hello @Jd486856 thank you for your question and showing your pictures. I will also suggest a mini tummy tuck with liposculture that enhance the shape of your body. Because a tummy tuck would be to aggressive for your case. Why risk a bigger scar if you could achieve your goal with minimal scarring and a less invasive procedure. Besides, there are four variables all potentially contribute to the look of the abdomen. In order they are skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, diastasis recti and excess visceral or intra-abdominal fat. Skin laxity and Diastasis recti are treated with a full tummy tuck. I hope this solve your doubts. Best Wishes!!

Answer: Mini tummy tuck Dear Jd486856, it depends on your skin laxity for which I would need to examine you. In general, liposuction does not help with skin laxity and a tummy tuck is the best option in this scenario. A mini tummy tuck can work great for laxity below the umbilicus but generally does not improve the area above the belly button.
