After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. I always tell my patients that the implant width should be slightly narrower than your natural breast width. As you get larger in volume, you get more lateral fullness (side boob), and you increase your risk for permanent changes in nipple sensation and numbness. Good luck!!
It all depends on your measurements, anatomy. If your breast is wide enough, a larger implant may fit. I typically use intra operative sizers to confirm implant during surgery.A 650cc HP implant has a diameter of 14.5cm compared to 520cc of 13.25cm.Further discussion with your/a plastic surgeon during consultation is recommended.
Dear PrincessMikayla,The largest commercially manufactured silicone implant is 800cc. Saline 800cc as well, but can be overinflated 20% (960cc). It is not recommended to over-inflate past that amount. To know the largest implant you may be able to use, you would need to check your breast base width and then check to see what implant that corresponds to. I recommend you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast surgery and breast augmentations.
Dear PrincessMikayla, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Breast implant sizing (and how big you can/should go) is dependent on the measurements of your existing breast tissue, the most important of which is the base width, which is the width of your breast mound on your chest. The implant should be very close to the same width as your breast. With that measurement set, the way to get the most volume possible would then be to pick the highest profile implant that fits that width (depending on the brand, this would be an ultra high or extra high profile implant). If you'd like to be even larger than that, fat grafting can help especially with adding fullness and shaping the cleavage. Make a consultation with a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals in more detail!
Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, without some information, I don't think I can answer this question. It would be helpful to know what implant you have in currently. Also, how long have these implants been in? You will be better served by an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Based on pictures alone you should be able to accommodate a larger implant by increasing profile/projection. Seek out a series of in-person consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons to get the best advice Hope this helps.
It is really difficult to answer your question as there is a lot that goes into sizing our patients. We perform measurements, evaluate the skin envelope elasticity, look at photos, look at diagrams and finally use the Allergan sizing system to size the patient in the office. We obviously listen and discuss exactly what the patient wants and doesn’t want so that we can deliver the expected results.Your best path to determine what size would work and how big you can be would be to seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Make certain the surgeon you choose has great deal of experience in breast implant surgeries. You have a great starting pointing and it would be critical to no over do what you body could handle.Hope that helps.
Based on these photos you appear to have small breasts and athletic body with narrow hips. Anything larger than 350ml would significantly change your torso, abdomen, hips balance. Hope this helps.
