Has Tummy Tuck or Mini Tummy Tuck gone wrong?? (photos)

Based on the photos alone it is difficult to tell what procedure you had. Without knowing when the surgery was it is also difficult to gauge how it should look at this point. If the surgery was very recent then you may still be swollen. If you aren't having any medical problems that need to be addressed urgently it is probably best to not worry about it for now and get a consultation with a different board certified plastic surgeon near you 6-12 months after surgery when things have healed better to see if you need some sort of revisionary procedure. It is hard to tell from
your pictures what exactly was done during your surgery. However, you do appear
to have a lot of remaining excess skin and high scar placement. It looks like
you may need a revision in the future. I recommend discussing your dissatisfaction
with your results with your PS and consulting another board certified PS who is
experienced in tummy tucks for a second opinion. Best regards.

This is best addressed with your surgeon or, even better, have an examination of your postop result in person. Thank you for your question and for including photos.It is very hard to fully comprehend what procedure was performed looking at the photos included.  It appears that you did not have a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) by guaging the length of your abdominal incision.  I cannot see if there is an incision around your umbilicus.  In any event, you are still swollen and some problems should resolve, however, I seriously doubt if you will have a flat stomach.  I would see your Plastic Surgeon and present all of your questions.Best of luck.Dr T

First of all, we Plastic Surgeon responders have to be careful how we respond on line to only pictures and a story from the patient. Unless we know all the details and what the patient looked like ahead of time and what was discussed between the patient and the Dr. it is unfair to both the patient and the Dr to comment. The one very obvious thing that is wron is that you had certqin understandings and expectations and they were not met. That would fall under the categorie of communication failure. I would suggest you talk to your Plastic Surgeon and clear things up regarding what you were expecting vs what you got.Best of luck to you.

So sorry that you've had a bad experience with your body contour surgery. It appears that you still have redundant skin, not sure if you also have a fluid collection (seroma). Please seek a BCPS for evaluation and to consider further treatment. Dr. Burnett

I can't really tell from the photo what was done. The incision does not look ideally placed, there is still loose skin and the abdomen looks like it may not have been tightened. Since I can't see the navel, I can't tell if this was a "full" TT or not. A full TT would typically have an incision around it so that the surgery can proceed to include the upper abdominal skin, fat, and muscle laxity. It does appear you may benefit from a revision. Consider a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon.  Best wishes.
