Hi! So I would love some answers for anyone who can help please I got a breast augmentation 6 weeks ago & have a scheduled explant in 2 weeks. I am a 25 year old female that went from a A cup to inserting in 250CCs. I just want to know if in 8 weeks my breasts will come out of my explant surgery looking flat or stretched out with 250 CCs :( Please help me.
Answer: Breast post-explant Hello, thank you for your question. Given your age and the smaller size of the implants that were inserted, it is likely that your skin will retract relatively well after explant. From my experience, this is generally what occurs, but everyone's results may be different.

Answer: Post Explant Breast Results Hi,With the size of implants and duration of placement your tissue/skin will likely return to its original form. Initially, they will look a little stretched but this will change over 3-6 months as the tissue heals. Depending on where the incision placement is, you will need to do scar massaging to help prevent puckering in those areas- for eg. if the implants were placed via the areola then that incision may begin to pucker in- this can be treatment with early scar tissue massaging and cupping. If the scar was placed along the infra mammary fold then it may sit lower on your chest/upper abdomen as the breast fold retract into its anatomical position. Hope this helps and congratulations on your decision to remove the implants!Dr. Dev

Answer: Implant removal Dear lauielee652, you need to discuss this with your plastic surgeon as probably the best option is to wait until you are fully healed to see the final results. However, if you decide to remove implants earlier, there is a high chance that your breasts will have the same size as prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Breast explant after 8 weeks I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your breast augmentation. Because you had conservatively sized implants and they were in place for such a short time once you have fully healed from explant you should return to a look similar to that before surgery.

Answer: Not major stretching Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs. However, after only 8 weeks, 250 cc implants should not have caused major stretching. It is most likely you will return back to your original position. If you needed a lift originally, this may still be needed. Often time, at the time of explantation, a simultaneous lift is done. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method which reshaped the breast tissue. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
