I had one syringe to split for both side. Immediately the lines were slightly better but now i feel like they almost look the same. The lines are still there. Especially on my worse side. I got a syringe of the newest Restylane in my nasolabial folds. Over email the doctor thought I needed two but in person he decided on 1. I thought my files were pretty bad so I was surprised we did just one. At first i saw a little improvement but now I look and I feel like it’s not much of a difference at all. Will it really absorb water and get fuller? Is getting more or a different brand even an option? I’m just really disappointed. I thought results were immediate.
Answer: Filler Results Most of the improvement you saw was likely from the swelling after the injection. It takes a couple of weeks for the filler to fully settle in. It looks like you would benefit from more product. Fortunately, adding more is much easier than taking away too much that was given. If you trust your injector then you can have them add more filler. Best wishes.

Answer: Wearing a white coat and holding a syringe of filler does not mean you know what to do with that product. For all intents and purposes, the fill effect is immediate. There can be a little swelling and occasionally bruising that needs to settle after a service. When you are not sure about a service, there is no substitute for reviewing before and after picture. When you get filler, you are asking your injector to sculpt your face. Some injectors are pretty good at this. A rare injector is amazing but most are mediocre. The product you get also makes a big difference. The original Restylane is a fantastic product for the nasolabial fold. However, there are other members of the Restylane family are more like products in the Juvederm family. I would include Restylane silk, Restylane Refyne and Defyne. These are formulated as "smooth" fillers. Smooth is a marketing term for runny. Injectors like runny fillers because lumps and bumps they make go away. The problem is that these products lack the tissue lift of the original formulation of Restylane. That means these smooth fillers spread out after injection and end up in places that were not originally injected and the area where you need the help the most looks under treated. The solution is to see an injector who understands the difference in these products and is a very good sculptor.

Answer: NL Fold Filler The Nasolabial Folds are the transition zone between the cheek and mouth and are a common complaint of patients. The aesthetic goal is to "soften" the fold and not to completely eliminate it as this would make the face look unnatural. It is likely that the improvement you saw immediately following injection was from swelling. It typically takes 5-10 days for the swelling to subside revealing your final result. If you feel that you liked the result that you had initially after the injection better than the result you have now, you may want to consider having another injection to add additional volume to the folds.
