Such an amazing and personal experience. I never was scared about how things would look. Dr. Surek is very talented and caring. He gave me his personal cellphone number after surgery and called to check on me a couple of times.
I am 4 days post op from a Mommy makeover with lipo of my inner thighs and I couldn’t be happier! Dr. Surek and his entire staff have been wonderful during my recovery responding quickly to any question or concern. I can’t wait to see the final results!
I was beyond pleased with the service I received by Dr. Surek. He provided a very well reasoned explanation for what his recommendations were and I never felt rushed during the consultation. I had previously obtained the same service by another plastic surgeon's office but this experience was much better. Many offices tend to have the nurses do many of these procedures alone and the difference in having a well trained plastic surgeon perform the procedure was obvious. Dr. Surek was very purposeful in his approach, and ensured there was no pain associated with the procedure. I highly recommend him to anyone.
I struggled with whether or not to leave this review, but I really don't want anyone else to have to go through what I did, and waste their time & money. I ended up choosing Dr Surek because he had incredible reviews. I researched and found that he also teaches other doctors, so he must know what he's doing right? Our consult was short, but went well. I asked about lower eyelid options and CO2 laser. He seemed very confident when He suggested a lower blepharoplasty and lower lid chemical peel. I asked about fat grafting for contouring the area, since I had seen photos online & the results seemed very natural. He decided to do the Fat Grafting as well. This was my first cosmetic procedure so I wasnt sure what to expect. Still, I was excited to finally be rid of my eye bags, which have plagued me for years and no amount of sleep, excercise or healthy eating would improve. Fast forward to Post Op: DAY 1: I return home only to find that I had a large purplish bruise - on the inside of my thigh near my crotch?! (Fat was taken from my abdomen, nowhere near my crotch area..so, I'm not sure where that came from! ) Seemed a little strange, but no one mentioned it so I just wrote it off and focused on healing. I followed all directions exactly as written and I took off work for the next 2 weeks to make sure to be well rested. 2 WEEKS POST OP: My eyes were healing and I was loving the results. The Skin under my eyes was smooth from the peel and the bags were reduced. I could still see the line and shadow of a bag, but i could see a difference and I was thrilled with how it was turning out. THEN something happened over the next two weeks.. It appeared the fat grafting must not have worked because over the course of 2 weeks, my large puffy bags began to re-appear under my eyes and now you could barely see any difference at all. I tried convincing myself it was some sort of post surgical inflammation returning... there must be some explanation. But I really knew something was up when my sister came to visit and asked me WHEN my surgery was scheduled for! ( My own sister thought I hadn't even had my surgery yet! ) After telling her what happened- She suggested that I share my concerns with Dr Surek on my next visit. 30 day (final post op:) I show Dr Surek my eyes and gently ask what couldve happened to cause the bags to re-appear ? This obviously bothered him because he suddenly had another appointment he had to get to, and became flippant to the point of seeming arrogant. He never bothered to respond to my question, other than to tell me that "HE" thought it looked "fine" and how "HE" thought I must just have a case of "unrealistic expectations!" Instead of communicating with me about what my options were at this point- (I would have paid for corrective surgery, or whatever he suggested..) He just handed me a bottle of moisturizer as he walked out the door & saying it was a gift (making sure to inform me that it was a "very expensive" bottle of moisturizer) then simply walked out of the room. I left feeling more confused than before- only now, somewhat guilty for ever voicing my concerns. I never heard back from him or his office again. Now I cringe when I see my eyebags and think back to the amount of money I paid (in cash, and up front) and trust I put into Dr Surek only to be dismissed when things didn't go according to plan. Dr Surek may be skilled in other areas- I cannot speak to those- BUT- if youre interested in having lower blepharoplasty- I would highly recommend finding someone else, preferably an specialist in occuloplastics... Because ZERO accountability or responsibility will be taken here, if things don't work out.
There are a lot of myths about facelift recovery. I tell my patiens they may have some swelling and bruising for 1 week, but usually at 7-10 days that is completely resovled, sometimes earlier. A recent facelift of mine felt good enough that she asked to go back to work at day 6. The key to remember is that you want a facelift operation that is long lasting and customized to your specific needs and facial features
The Nasolabial Folds are the transition zone between the cheek and mouth and are a common complaint of patients. The aesthetic goal is to "soften" the fold and not to completely eliminate it as this would make the face look unnatural. It is likely that the improvement you saw immediately following injection was from swelling. It typically takes 5-10 days for the swelling to subside revealing your final result. If you feel that you liked the result that you had initially after the injection better than the result you have now, you may want to consider having another injection to add additional volume to the folds.
Great Question. Many patients struggle with determining a final size for their breast implants. As many surgeons will tell you, 25 cc is a very small difference when distributed amongst the entire breast. I appreciate you mentioning your breast width as that is a critical component to customizing the implant to your body shape and chest wall. I think you will be happy with either size and will likely be a full C bra with either implant, however if you want to ensure a nice cleavage line I would suggest going with the larger implant.
