Would custom jaw wraparound be able to give me a jawline similar to the model pics?

Question

My face is round and I have a weak chin and high jaw. This also makes my cheeks look round and full in certain lighting. Will a jawline be able to make my face more masculine and model like. Will it be able to stretch the soft tissue in my neck and cheeks to naturally make my cheekbones more prominent and cheeks hollow. I don’t have the widest eyes so do you think the implant will give the illusion my eyes are even narrower ?

Based on your photos, I would recommend chin and cheek implants to provide more contoured facial features. The angle of the jaw is another possibility but I would need more information to determine if these would also be beneficial. Most patients do not require custom implants except at the mandibular angle. There are many shapes and styles of chin and cheek implants and they can be customized during surgery. Customized facial implants do add a significant cost to the treatment and I typically use then for the angle of the jaw and cases following cancer resection.

The question is almost never whether a custom wraparound jawline implant is better than using standard implants...because it always is. It creates a total jawline effect that can not be matched by any other implant method. The real question is how close can the use of standard implants comes to what a custom implant design can do. That would depend on the jawline effect the patient is seeking. If you look at your own face and your ideal jawline goals there is a complete linear connection between the chin and jaw angles with well defined angularity at the transition and end points. Only a custom jawline implant has any chance to create that type of jawline change.

It is very reasonable to improve your jawline and frontal shape with augmentation of the angle, body and chin area. A so called 'wrap around' is not as ideal as shaping the implant material at the actual surgery since one can actually see what contours are needed for proper balance. Wrap around implants are not able to be manufactured with the soft tissue showing in the CT type.image,  so they are less ideal.
