Really good Neck Lipo is a specialized technique. In my opinion, if you can afford it, pay a little more and get a result that will last a life time. Awake, three well hidden access points, laser, garments, massage techniques, etc...

If fee includes OR and anesthesia, that is very reasonable for NYC region.  However, understand that your surgery will be performed by a plastic surgery resident, but he or she will most certainly be supervised by a board certified plastic surgeon.  Very cheap deals will probably mean your surgeon will not be a board certified plastic surgeon! You get what you pay for, so please do your homework! Best of luck!

and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your
surgeon and evaluate their results.  The
most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I
recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic
surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Hello and thank you for your question. The total cost is related to many things, including the surgeon's fee the fee for anesthesia (if used) and the facility. I have some patients who prefer not to go to sleep and if an anesthesiologist is not used, the total cost to the patient is reduced. Some patients however are just more comfortable not knowing what is going on during their procedure and are ok with paying the extra fee. Most surgeons won't quote exact costs in a forum such as this and without an in person consultation. I would recommend that you get at least a second opinion in person for more specific answers to your questions. Hope this helps!

While residency programs are great at reducing cost for large surgical procedures, smaller procedures like liposuction tend to be more expensive because of the resources that will be used.  For example a neck liposuction in a private office can be done in the office usually in the minor procedure room under local anesthesia.  However with a residency program they probably still have to cover the costs of the operating room nursing and anesthesia.  I always recommend that before any procedure you do your homework and see a few options before making her decision.  That decision should not be based only on price.  You should have a good idea of who will be performing the surgery and what they're qualifications are, where they will be performing the surgery, and if they are really looking out after your best interest.

I suggest that you review the estimated costs in your area on Realself, and call a number of offices to get a quote. Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization and surgical simulation with the Crisalix system may help with your decision. I suggest that you find a board-certified plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of patients who have had similar procedures. Good luck!
