Will I achieve my dream nose with a correction of the tip only? (photo)

Question

Nose job: Can I only do a correction on the top of my nose? I’m happy with the rest of it! Hi! I’m really happy with the overall size and shape of my nose in general. Especially from the side. I do think the tip of my nose is too wide, to long and downturned. Can I only do a correction of the tip and will it be able to get me a shorter nose with maybe even a little bit of an upward tip? Thx!

I agree that you have a pleasing nasal bridge appearance. Depending on your examination, tip rhinoplasty may be considered as an isolated procedure. thank you for your question. The " dream nose " is for every patient different. Setting goals together with your rhinoplasty surgeon is key.  Aesthetic goals and realistic expectations should align. Based on your pictures, I think  refining the tip and changing subtly some of the nasal tip angles will go a long way and will compliment your nasal aesthetics; without looking "done" or "operated". The nasal tip of your nose will just look better. I hope this helps.

It is certianly possibly to have only a “tip plasty” but you would benefit significantly from having a consultation with a plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty to assess and examine you and model what is achievable with only tip modification. It would also be beneficial to discuss the benefits of tip only surgery as opposed to a more comprehensive rhinoplasty.

Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers.
