Am I healing normally from my labiaplasty?

I had labiaplasty done 4 weeks ago and I am concerned by how the left side looks; it's white and in some areas crusted over. Is this normal or is something more serious occurring?

White discharge could be from healing, from creams, or from a yeast infection. None of these can be diagnosed from a photo. See your surgeon.

Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately with your photographs being out of focus it is difficult to offer definite advice, but this whitish material is either built up ointment residue, dead/dry skin cells, or yeast infection. See your surgeon for an in-person exam to evaluate your results and to rule out any issues.

Unfortunately, I can only "generically" answer your question (which does your personal situation little good...) as your photos are woefully out of focus. Here's how to take good quality vulvar photos: 1. Hold your camera at full arms length away from you (far as you can) 2. Get your lady parts in the frame. 3. Use the close-up feature to get yourself up close. 4. Focus (press halfway down, or however your camera focuses...) 5. "Click"  Take 3-4 photos: straight on, left & right lateral, and a bit from above.Send us new photos & we'll be able to better answer you!Best,Michael P Goodman, MDDavis, CA, USA

It's hard to say for sure as your pics are bit out of focus. But whitish accumulation can be normal, I wold see your surgeon for a complete exam and make sure there is no yeast infection or other issues. Hope this helps!

I cannot really give your great advice from just seeing your photos. The white areas can actually be a yeast infection or just poor hygiene. As this area is fragile and difficult to clean thoroughly during the healing process, white cheesy stuff can build up. You also still appear to be swollen. You should ask your PS since they can actually do an exam.
