Hello I had a labia minora reduction, the results I have I am happy with, whoever are the stitches too tight? Will they leave a jagged bumpy look when healed? Please help. 48 hours post-op. I've just heard of stitches healing all bumpy and gross. I'm scared mine will.

Answer: Post labiaplasty swelling and permanent bumps Bumps or scalloping along labiaplasty scars are a product of crude suturing techniques. At 48 hours, there is too much swelling in your photo to determine anything about bumps due to poor suturing or bumps due to swelling. The only thing I can say is that the area will look much flatter in a few weeks when the swelling resolves.

It is far too early to either draw any conclusions or develop any concerns. After three to six months, if things are not as you had hoped, please discuss this with your surgeon. Fortunately this part of the body heals quite quickly and you will have a pretty good sense by that time period if the final result is what you had hoped for.
