I had a skinny bbl Feb2021. I didn’t have much extra fat to work with but my doctor said I would still have nice results. I did like my results on my butt but now my stomach looks like cottage cheese. I have dozens of uneven soft lumps that look horrible. I wore my faja & got lymphatic massages exactly as directed. I reached out to the doctor that performed this surgery several times desperately looking for advice & was ghosted. Is there anything I can do to get my stomach smooth again?
Answer: BBL results Dear jessmccumber, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. You had over lipo techniques on abdomen which caused fibrosis effect. Not much non surgical to offer. I do offer S.A.F.E. lipo fibrosis release surgery. Mt fee $6,500. Also you will need at least 12-24 massages post surgery. Regards

Answer: Correction of checker board abdomen You have what we call a checker board abdomen that is created from uneven liposuction. In order to correct this you must consider tightening of your skin which must be done with excision of skin from both the bottom using a mini tuck as well as elimination of the skin form the upper abdomen using a reverse tummy tuck followed by VASER liposuction of the entire abdomen. Please consider a virtual consulation with a high definition liposuction expert.

Answer: Poor Liposuction results Liposuction is a permanent and more or less irreversible procedure. Your results are a direct reflection of the skill and experience of the provider. It is not possible to restore your abdomen to a normal abdomen. That was removed aggressively and done so in an uneven manner leaving you with a uneven thin fat distribution. When this happens it is extremely difficult to correct and often not possible. Patients were unhappy with the results should follow up in person with the surgeon who did their procedure. I do not recommend patients travel long distances for elective surgical procedures because in person follow up is important as is the ability to have in person consultations before committing to having the procedure to properly vet the skill and experience of the provider. Delivering consistent high-quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than people believe. For that reason I encourage patient to carefully read and select the most talented and experienced provider for their procedure. I recommend patients do that by having multiple in person consultations at which time patients should ask to see the entire collection of before and after pictures. sing a handful of pictures that in fact represent the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get an understanding of what average results look like. Patients should ask providers to show excellent outcomes average outcomes and less than outcomes to have a clear understanding of what average results look like and get some confirmation of how many of these procedures the surgeon has performed. I also recommend patient read all reviews on various physician review websites and avoid providers for any significant number of justified negative results. The absence of justified negative result is more important than far more telling than having an abundance of positive results. Choosing the most talented and experienced provider is by far the most important decision and doing so minimizes the chance of having undesirable outcomes. I wish I had more optimism or recommendations for a way to improve your abdomen but I’m afraid doing so it’s going to be very difficult. Revision Work is many times more difficult than primary Liposuction so they need to find an exceptionally talented surgeon goes without saying. Corrective options typically come down to revision liposuction, fat transfer or a combination of both. Neither one of those are good options in your case though it may be possible to have some degree of improvement. Fat transfer becomes challenging because the area that needs volume now are devoid of host tissue to support grafted fat leaving grafted fat to not survive. Occasionally converting the procedure to a skin tightening operation like a full tummy tuck can be helpful especially if the patient was a good candidate for a tummy tuck and or the problem is limited to the lower abdomen. This is not the case with you so it leaves few options. Be careful for anyone who feels that this is easy to correct or are they using aggressive energy based Liposuction equipment like VAS ER is going to make this better. Simply going in and doing more liposuction is more likely to make things worse. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
