I had a full extnded tt/panni (horizontal and vertical incision), wk 2 post op was re-hospitalized due to infection and low blood. bad case of staph (cellulitis) on my low rt quadrnt. given blood, iron and IV antibiotics- ALOT. Wk3 post op infection better but still aspirating fluid. hospitalized again. IV ANTIbiotics and surgery to re open clean it out. Doc says fatigue will decrease by 12 wkspost tt and at wk10 still tired! Depressed (seen my psych and upped my meds) and up 10 pounds.

If the area is small then this should be manageable with local anesthesia. If this is a larger area of excision then more sedation and anesthesia may be appropriate. I would discuss these issues with your PS and they can help guide your best course of action
