Can genioplasty help? (Photo)

You are a great candidate for a genioplasty. Moving your chin down would create a more "v" shape to your face, decrease the labiomental fold, add length to your jawline and bring balance to your profile. This would also help to tighten the skin under your chin and around your jawline. That being said, you may also be a candidate for jaw surgery. There is asymmetry in your jaw which is apparent when you show teeth when you smile. However, if you are strictly looking for a cosmetic procedure, a genioplasty would get you the results you are looking for. The treatment for a deep labiomental fold is to vertically lengthen the chin. Your lower facial height is actually short which is why you have a deep labiomental fold. The sliding genioplasty would lengthen your chin and diminish the depth of the labiomental fold but it will not impact your facial balance in a negative way. The position of your chin is fine and no further advancement is needed. solely, vertical lengtheing.

We can adjust your chin and jaw in a way that will not make your face look longer. It is all in how the procedure is done.

Your chin already has strong forward projection. You can see that by looking at your profile picture that demonstrates a deep labiomental sulcus. Forward advancement of your chin won’t worsen that fold.
Vertical heights, augmentation may be an option, but making an assessment and giving quality advice for this part of the face can be complex.
You do not appear to be an obvious good candidate for a sliding genioplasty, at least not in a horizontal direction
