BBL and butt implant removal on the same day?

Question

Hi! I had my Butt implant done intramuscular in november 2022 but now one implant is visible and i really really want to take them out. i dont like them and they are really uncomfortable. I want to do a fat transer instead at the same day as i remove the buttimplant. I just want to know if it is possible

Hello @bubbles94, thank you for your question. Everything depends on the surgical technique of the specialist performing surgery.  I do not perform fat transfer to the glutes or fat transfer during a butt implant removal procedure because if the fat seeding is done at the same time, it might get infected or die; there is no guarantee that the seeding will stick. Thanks for your question. At my practice, I preform the butt implant removal and BBL at the same time. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with BBLs and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Hello, if your implant size is not more then 250 cc , you can do the same time ,but if its size bigger then 250 cc i recommend to wait for injection at least 6-9 months.

I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.

My recommendation will be to have your butt implants remove and in another round of surgery do a BBL procedure, your buttocks area can be sensitive after the implant remove the best way to have a success surgery is to let the tissue heal before doing another aggressive procedure how is a BBL procedure.

I do not suggest removing gluteal implants and combining fat transfer at the same time. You need to know what your bottom is going to look like without the implants and let tissues heal up properly before considering your candidacy for fat transfer.
Different doctors will have different opinions.
