This response was dictated. I apologize in advance for grammatical errors. The cost of this procedure, while very depending on who you choose is your provider and some degree where you choose to have the procedure. Different plastic surgeons price to procedure differently. Recognize that fat transfer like a BBL is always too operations done at the same time. The first is Liposuction, which is necessary to harvest fat used for the fat transfer. In our clinic there is an add-on fee for fat transfer And the patient will pay for liposuction, depending on what areas are treated. Fat can be harvested from many different areas, but the most common in our clinic treatment of the torso. I usually view the torso as a single anatomical unit and generally preferred to do liposuction of the entire torso in order to leave people with a natural even thin fat distribution. Fat can be harvested from any part of the body. On thin people Sometimes we need to add additional areas to obtain sufficient amount of fat to get a quality transfer. Typical cost for liposuction of the full abdomen, back and under arm area is around $11,000. The additional fee for that transfer is around $6000. Our facility fees are fairly low at approximately $2000.The cost for a breast lift can vary as well. Without implants of breast lift by itself, may cost $5000-$10,000. The two primary variables determine the outcome of the BBL procedure is going to be the patient’s candidacy and choice of providers. Not every patient seeking a BBL is a good candidate for the procedure. Likewise, not every plastic. Surgeon is good at this procedure. In fact, there are major variations in skill and experience among plastic surgeons for doing the BBL. Delivering consistent liposuction and fat transfer results tends to be far more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons of truly mastered this procedure is quite small. I generally recommend avoiding traveling for elective surgical procedures, so depending on where you live, sometimes traveling may be necessary. I generally recommend the patient choose providers only after scheduling multiple in person, consultation with providers who seem to have a strong track record for the procedure. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own. You need to be assessed in regards to both Liposuction and fat transfer. Likewise, you need to vet the providers for both procedures An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, and representing only the best results of a providers career may be insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider, what your results are likely to look like, or how many of these procedures that surgeon has actually done. Take careful notes during consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before and after pictures. I recommend people bring pictures of their own body taken the same way plastic surgeons take before and after pictures and use your pictures as reference when doing consultations or whenever, reviewing before, and after pictures. Not everybody seeking this procedure has the potential to get a high-quality outcome. An excellent candidate for a BBL has the potential for an excellent outcome, but can also have a poor outcome if provider selection is not done adequately. Someone who is not a good candidate for a BBL does not have the potential for a quality outcome Regardless of who does the procedure. A breast lift, and a BBL are not ideal to do at the same time. Some plastic surgeons have protocols of not laying on your back or side after the BBL and you can definitely not rest on your abdomen after a breast lift. Each plastic surgeon will have a different opinion in regards to doing these procedures as a combined procedure. Some providers may recommend doing them as separate procedures. It may also be a substantial amount of surgery to be done at the same time. Plastic surgeons who are detail oriented are going to spend longer doing the procedure in order to get the best results. Ideally, we should limit cosmetic surgery to six hours or less but there are times where more surgery may be appropriate. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
