50 year old male. My “double chin or neck?” Is more noticeable now whenever I look down I’m physically active (can loose about 10 pounds) but otherwise overall healthy. What are your recommendations doctors? I don’t want a fake “LA type of look” and not I’m a profession that pays a lot. Thanks.

Answer: Best results for Neck contouring with High definition neck contouring with Jamesson light perception, Jay plasma, neck tight, Ul Hello and thank-you for sharing your question and photos. Correction of a double chin can be achieved either though a surgical or non-invasive approaches. Liposuction and Jplazty (cold plasma energy to tighten skin) or FaceTyte Radio frequency of the chin and neck produces consistently great results for appropriate candidates. Some patients may even benefit from a small chin implant. We are very excited with the development of several non-invasive techniques for correction of a double chin. Ultherapy of the lower face and submental neck can provide both skin tightening and fat reduction for more definition. We also offer the Cool mini as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the right candidate. Generally, two treatments are required separated by 4-6 weeks. We also offer Kybella which is another non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Generally 3-6 treatments are needed separated by 4-6 weeks. I would suggest an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon Well-versed in all aspects of facial rejuvenation in your area to learn about your options.. Good Luck!

Answer: Double chin Liposuction is needed to remove the excess fat. Once that is completed the issue of loose skin remains. You have some options at that point: 1) allow the skin to contract (shrink) on its own with some compression, or2) enhance that skin contraction by using minimally invasive laser energy (Precision TX) or plasma energy (J-Plasma Subdermal), with tiny incisions, or3) performing a formal neck lift which involves incisions around the ears. All these are viable options to restoring a more youthful neck. Of course, consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon is always the first step. I wish you all the best!
