Prices will vary by region and within each region by Surgeon. Each surgeon may also have slightly different prices for the same procedure depending on what exactly is involved. In the Toronto area you can expect quotes anywhere from $8,000-15,000, other regions of the province may be a bit different. Your best bet is to see a few surgeons and get quotes to find out what the range in your area is. Ultimately you should go with the surgeon that you feel most comfortable with, not necessarily the least or most expensive one. Hope that helps!  

OHIP may be able to cover any fat/skin that hangs below your waist. This procedure is called a panniculectomy. However, to recontour the area above, a tummy tuck would be recommended. Tummy tucks aren’t typically covered by OHIP and typically cost about $9000 to $10,000 in Toronto, where my practice is located. This price is for a full tummy tuck. Financing is available that can help breakdown the price of surgery into monthly or bi-monthly payments of a couple hundred dollars each.

My recommendation is to first find the most qualified surgeons where you want the surgery performed that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery you trust, then compare prices between them. 2. Type of Anesthesia - local, IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, or an RN be used?

      4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - how difficult will your surgery be and how long it will take, etc. Will other complementary procedures also be also performed during the same surgery?

prior to scheduling consultations.
