Yes after 6 months your doctor can improve this in the office under local anesthesia which should be comfortable after a few numbing injections. Good Luck

Thank you for your question and photos.  In females, the areolas are round.  After surgery, there can be small differences.  This can be addressed by your plastic surgeon in the office setting with some numbing medicine if it persists.  From your photos, the left areola is round and does not appear poorly shaped.  Give it time to heal and follow up with your surgeon.

Your left side is still healing. Wait until the 6 month point. Based on your photos, if any adjustment is necessary it will be very minor as your nipples are about as close to being identical as you can get. Slight differences in areolar shape are common because in the OR most patients get cold and the nipples become erect. We measure them with a perfect circle instrument called a cookie cutter but when you warm up and the swelling subsides after surgery what was a perfect circle in the OR can be slightly off. This is common and very simple to adjust.

Thank you for your question.  Based on your photo the shape of your areola is within the acceptable standards.  If you are concerned about the slight shape abnormalities, this can be easily corrected with a local procedure.  If you are noting pus draining from you incision, make an appointment to see your plastic surgeon ASAP. Never sit on a possible infection.  Best Wishes for an optimal outcome.
