Hi. So, I'm fifteen years old--5'3", 130lbs--and I wear a 32C bra, and my breasts sag quite a lot. Looking to the chart I posted, my breasts are a grade 3. This concerns me as I started to notice the sagging when I was in grade 8--12 years old and a 32B. I'm concerned because I'm afraid that I may not have developed properly. I have not experienced any significant weight loss. Why has this happened?
Answer: The Bellesoma Method At 5’3 and 130 lbs your BMI is 23.5, which is normal so you are not overweight. It is possible that the mechanical strength of your skin is not enough to hold the weight of your 32 C breasts. However, the other possibility is a breast abnormality with your inframammary fold too high, which is called tuberous breast. Unfortunately, you have not provided any photographs but this is a possibility. In either case, I recommend The Bellesoma Method. This technique will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in long term stability and pain relief. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast Sagging at a young age This can be a challenging issue. It may be that the sagging is not as significant as you think. It may be something that will continue to change as your breasts develop. It may also be something that stays the same regardless of time and development. Being patient at your age can be exceptionally challenging but I think it is likely to best to wait a few years, ensure that your breasts have stopped changing, and seek out the opinion of a few qualified and respected plastic surgeons. There are surgical options but they have the potential to change forever your ability to do things like breast feed your potential children and have normal sensation in your breasts going forth.Best,Dr. Pyle

Answer: Premature sagging breasts at 15 years old I have seen this issue that you describe. I know it doesn't seem fair that this is happening to you-- without having had any children or weight loss to 'deserve' it. There are several things to keep in mind. First of all, your breasts are still developing and growing-- so if you hurry up and have this issue "corrected" now, it might be that you outgrow your correction in the next few years. It would be wisest and safest to wait until you are done developing, and then correct things once and for all. If you wanted, you could go in for a consultation with your mother to a plastic surgeon to see what they recommend; or your own physician. There is no expiration date on getting this adjusted, and the longer you wait, the better the chance that you are done developing. With regard to WHY has this happened to you-- it is simple genetics. If you look at the breast pictures on this website, you will see hundreds of different images of breasts, they are all different: some more laterally positioned, some with smaller inferior poles, etc. Be patient, and good luck!Matt Concannon MD

Answer: Do You Have Good Support? It is important to make sure (at any age) that you wear a supportive bra. How do you know if it is supportive enough? When you exercise, does it feel like your breasts are moving or bouncing? If so, you probably need a more supportive bra. Does this problem tend to run in the family? Sometimes women can pass down this type of breast among the women in the family. A breast lift can help, but you want to make sure that the breasts are done developing first. Age 15 is too early. It is also important to do your research on the permanent scars created with breast lift before proceeding with surgery. I recommend a supportive bra now, and wait until age 18 to make big decisions about any surgery. Perhaps some women in your family can help you talk about this.
