I am 3 weeks post-op from rhinoplasty. I asked for the bump in my nose to be removed, and for the bridge to be narrowed and straight (My nasal bones were wide and then it sort of went inward before it went out again in the tip. But from front view the nasal bones still are wide and then go in, it is not a nice lined slope like I see in other post op pictures and wanted. I also think it protrudes too far away from my face still. Am I being unrealistic and crazy or should I want revision?
Answer: Still early I see your concerns. It is still early though, and a lot of that may be surgical edema. I would wait until 6 months have passed before seeking a second opinion and/or a revision.

Answer: Very early in healing process Your concerns are understandable. Rhinoplasty can be an emotional experience and many patients look closely at the results early on.BUT it is DEFINITELY too early to get very concerned about the shape of the bridge. The lining of the bones, the periosteum, as well as the surrounding tissue, swells a lot and will change for the better as the weeks progress.Keep in touch with your surgeon. Express your concerns and follow up closely. It will take 6 to 9 to 12 months for everything to settle in. Be calm and patient

Answer: Postop rhinoplasty At 3 weeks it is very difficult to tell the final result of her rhinoplasty. As the swelling continues to subside the nasal cartilages skin take different shape for better or for worse. However there is some depression at the mid nose level. With time if it does not get better then it can be corrected either with a filler injection such as Restylane or with a cartilaginous graft down the road. I would certainly give it some more time before you intervene.RegardsDr. J

Answer: Way way way too early Did I read correctly that you are 3 weeks out of surgery? Did you mean 3 months? If you really mean 3 weeks, then it is way way way too early to start worrying about revision. Even 3 months is too early. Surely your surgeon mentioned this. For what it's worth I think your profile looks great.

Answer: Post rhino my bridge is still not straight, & the nasal bones still protrude from frontal view. Am I being unrealistic? Much to early to ell! Allow 3 months healing than reconsider the need for revision rhinoplasty at 6 to 9 months....
