Hello,To answer your excellent question, yes, PicoSure can definitely remove your colorful hand tattoo. PicoSure is very powerful technology and your result will definitely depend on the level of expertise of the provider you choose. PicoSure can treat all ink colors on all skin types and is very powerful on ink while is gentle on your skin to significantly decrease your chance of scarring. The black ink will likely fade first before the colorful ink will start disappearing. Please be prepared and patient during this process as it usually takes about 6-8 sessions, 6-8 weeks apart in between sessions. It is always highly advised to choose board certified physician to perform these kind of treatments, especially on your hands. If you go to someone who does not know what they are doing, they might burn you, scar you or even cause a hand infection, which is concidered to be one of medical emergencies requiring hospitalization. Hope this helps. Best of luck, Dr. Avaliani
This will be a difficult tattoo to remove. While the Picosecond lasers have been marketed as highly efficacious, in reality, they are not proving to be much more efficacious than nanosecond Q-switched lasers. What will make this tattoo difficult is the yellow and also the location on your wrist. If I were you I would spend some time doing your homework of providers in your area. Ask them for before and after pictures with tattoos that have colors. Best of luck.
That tattoo should be able to be lightened or removed with Picosure. However, some of the colors in that tattoo will be challenging. You should expect it to take multiple treatments. The yellow will be particularly difficult. Also, a 1064nm laser will probably work better on the dark ink, so finding a provider who uses lasers of multiple wavelengths will likely get you the best results. I hope this helps.
Pico lasers are the most advanced technology. I utilize the PiQo4 laser which has 4 Pico wavelengths making it possible to target 96% of ink. Certain colors respond best to certain wavelengths. The amount of treatments can vary based on several factors such as the location of your tattoo, your skin tone, how sharp the ink is, and how quickly your body eliminates the ink. Even with advanced lasers and multiple wavelengths complete removal is not always possible. I believe that tattoos are removed faster and safer with Pico lasers and there is less risk of scarring. I think it is important not only to seek the best technology but an experienced laser tattoo removal provider.
Thanks for your question and posting a picture. Lasers can remove ink anywhere. Special care is required around the eyes.It is possible to remove a multicolor tattoo ink with picosecond lasers. Based on our experience, we definitely recommend a picosecond laser with 755 & 532 nm wavelength for these colors. For PicoSure, the 532 wavelength is an upgrade over the original models and was added specifically for treating some red inks. The PicoSure Laser is new technology and will generally remove tattoos in half the treatments (or less!) required by older lasers, without the risk of burning and with much, much lower risk of scarring or hypopigmentation. With your darker skin tone, you should definitely stay away from nanosecond or q-switch lasers. Patience is the key to any laser tattoo removal plan. We tell every PicoSure Laser tattoo removal patient to expect at least 6 treatments and don't be surprised if it is 10-12 or longer with thick tribal tattoos. We see some patients twice a year and their tattoos seem to clear up to 6 months. After using the PicoSure for 2 years, we have found it is best to wait 2-6 months between treatments. There is a limit to how small the laser can break up the ink. It's up to you and your body to take the ink away. We encourage our patients to drink plenty of water, sweat it out and eat a healthy diet between treatments. We recommend finding an experienced physician in your area. Treatment prices vary by market. You are trying to reverse permanent ink. Good Luck and have patience!
Picosure can certainly be used for the treatment of unwanted tattoos. Oftentimes more than one laser is required because of the colors in your tattoo. Our patient satisfaction rate is extremely high and all of the treatments are performed by board certified dermatologists.
The multiple colors makes this tough for the single wavelength of the Picosure to work well. Also, it doesn't do well with blacks. A better laser is the Piqo4, which has 4 wavelengths and has both pico and nanosecond capabilities. The yellows are tough to remove and the purples are somewhat. The blacks are easy. It will take about 8-10 treatments with any laser. Wrists are more difficult than areas which are closer to the heart too.
I, too, recommend shaving eyebrows prior to treatment. I know the idea is dispiriting to most people, but hair shafts in the treatment field will obstruct the work beam and lessen the treatment's effectiveness. In other words, get all the light you're paying for!
I think that the 532 wavelength is needed for this color. Also, a laser that has both nano and picosecond pulses is best. The Piqo4 has high power with large spot sizes to give the safest and most effective treatment of the lasers available on the market. I imagine it will take 6-8 treatments a...
I can not tell but he photo but it seems that you lost pigment in some places and may have a scar or open area in that tattoo. Pink is a difficult color because its often red with white mixed into the ink. the red normally isn't a big issue but requires a 532nm wavelength white...
