I had my standard TT 8 days ago... feel great, easy recovery so far, but I just noticed a fluid blister near the middle of my incision. It doesnt hurt. I do feel occasional tugging from that incision area, but its mild (been off meds since 6th day). I have a Drs appt in 3 days, can this wait until I see him or should I call the on call line now?

Answer: Blister next to TT incision Hello and thank you for posting your question. Blisters form after many plastic surgery operations as a result of skin stretching due to swelling and the steri strip tape that is placed at the time of the operation. If the skin beneath stretches more than the tape strip itself, a blister may form. The good news is that this is usually temporary and the area heals without issues. You may experience a little drainage if the blister pops or some superficial skin peeling in the area if your swelling was significant. I would certainly show this area to your plastic surgeon and allow them to examine you and give their recommendations.

Answer: Tummy Tuck blister Always ask your plastic surgeon for a definitive answer but this appears to be a superficial blister from the steri-strips. When the skin swells the steri-strips can pull causing a traction blister on the skin. If the blood supply to the skin is adequate, this will heal without problems.
