I'm strongly considering facetite. However, most of the before and after photos don't have similar issues as I do. Their necks are heavier and mine is thin? I do not want to burn what little fat I have and create more sagging. Also, why do doctors recommend fractora as well? And if my jawline/low face is fairly strong, will facetite make it look better or worse if I include lower face (recommended)?
Answer: FaceTite for Neck Bands Neck Bands can be muscular or skin, the difference between the 2 being easy to determine on examination. If muscular, then botox should be done instead of a tightening procedure. The only alternative to Botox is to have the muscle bands repositioned together in the midline (central neck lift)If skin, then facetite is a great option. Depending on your age or degree of skin laxity, Fractora can also be done simultaneously. FaceTite will cause primarily tightening in the deeper skin level (the dermis) while Fractora will work mostly on the superficial layers of skin (epidermis). Combined therapy gives the most significant skin tightening possible, as well as some wrinkle reduction, which would benefit your central neck. I have been very pleased with my patients over the first 6 months of use. Results should be permanent, with loss only from natural aging processes. I recommend that FaceTite patients consider doing Exilis or Fractora 1.5-2 years later to maintain results.

Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: FaceTite vs. Neck Lift Thank you for sharing your question and photos. While FaceTite will help tighten the sagging skin, your primary issue is your platysmal bands. I recommend considering treatment with a neuromodulator such as Botox, Xeomin or Dysport to soften those muscles. Down the line, a surgical procedure to suture the platysmal muscles together may be warranted for a longer lasting result. Once the Botox has taken effect, a procedure such as FaceTite will still be beneficial in shrinking the sagging skin you are noticing on the neck. I usually recommend this procedure in tandem with the lower face and jawline for a comprehensive treatment. To answer your second question, combining this treatment with Fractora, microneedling with radio frequency (RF), is an excellent way to improve the skin quality and these procedures are often done at the same time. For more information regarding these procedures, I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified specialist who has experience with FaceTite, Fractora, and Botox injections. Best of luck, Dr. Kian.

Answer: FaceTite on long thin neck FaceTite can help to tighten the neck and lower face but it will not improve platysmal bands, which it appears that you have. FaceTite primarily tightens the tissue deeper under the skin than Fractora will. Fractora helps more with wrinkling on the skin itself. The one option you mentioned, being FaceTite of the neck and lower face and Fractora, is certainly a valid one. FaceTite can be done so that it stays a little more superficial and does not enter the fat layer, so be sure to communicate that to the physician treating you. If you did not want to do all of it, another option would be to just do the Fractora first. This is a quicker recovery and would mainly help improve the lines in the skin of your neck and produce some general tightening. Results from these procedures are still not going to be a dramatic as those achieved with surgery though.

Answer: Sagging Skin Facetite will tighten the lower face and upper neck but will not be that effective on the platysmal bands that you have. I combine Morpheus with Facetite on most of my facial procedures. Fractora and Morpheus are similar devices made by the same company: InMode. Morpheus is the newest version of this technology that combines microneedling with the addition of radiofrequency. Both devices are great for tightening the skin and dermal layer. Combing both Facetite and Morpheus or Fractora will improve your overall results. Take care.Timothy A. Janiga MD, FACS
