There is no contraindication for Facetite. I have found that some older patients can receive a robust response from the device. The results are not meant to replace surgery but as a surgical alternative. Best Anil Shah
To answer your question generally, no there is no strict age limit to receiving FaceTite procedures. While proteins (such as collagen and elastin) definitely decline as we age, our body still produces them in some amount (given there is no diagnosed disorder affecting this). It is difficult to say if you are a candidate without seeing photos. It is best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced with FaceTite and BodyTite as well as other cosmetic procedures to be able to plan the best outcome for you personally.Best of luck!
Overall medical health is more important than age in determining your candidacy for FaceTite or ArmTite procedures. Patients who opt for Facetite are seeking a more youthful look but do not want to deal with an invasive surgery, scars, or long recovery time. Results typically depend upon the level of undermining, level of support of deeper tissues, and other patient dependent factors; Facetite, typically lasts for five years, but it can be combined with Fractora to provide improved results over time.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. There is no age limit for FaceTite. Your body will still produce collagen at the of 71. Please make sure you get a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
Hi and thanks for the question.Your body will not cease to produce collagen/elastin as you get older, although your ability to health and generate soft-tissue may be impeded with age. That being said, it is possible to see improvements with FaceTite/BodtyTite at any age, and hence it should be a strong consideration in someone seeking soft-tissue tightening in a minimally-invasive manner. I recommend you seek a consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to see if this procedure is the best option for you.Warmest Regards, Doctor Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Diplomate, American Board of Plastic Surgery
There aren't necessarily age limitations with this device. However, everyone's skin is different and the amount of laxity will determine the result that one can achieve. The radiofrequency treatment can do a wonderful job at contracting the tissues which can improve the contour of the area being treated.
Collagen remodeling is paramount to the FaceTite mechanism of action, and elastin determines how much "snap back" you have initially. It is smart to wonder whether diminishing levels of both will relatively contraindicate the FaceTite procedure. And I would say no. Age alone will not dictate your candidacy, but as you age it is likely that you will be less and less a candidate for the FaceTite/BodyTite (assuming you visit a thoughtful provider who picks the right patients). Most of my FaceTite and BodyTite patients are in their 40s-60s, but I would not exclude patients in their 70s without a physical examination and understanding of the patients' expectations.
I think this is a great question. I have seen a number of patients in their 60's and 70's recently in response to having these new technologies. Everyone ages differently so I cannot say the there is a cutoff. A great deal of my consult is spent understanding the patients goals and expectations. The patient medical history and exam creates the options I can provide. So your best bet is to see a board certified plastic surgeon who has this technology and see what they have to offer. You always want to look your best.
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you an answer whether FaceTite is an appropriate treatment without seeing you. While our bodies do diminish in their ability to form new collagen and elastin as we age, we still do get a response to interventions such as FaceTite. FaceTite can be combined with other interventions such as Sculptra Aesthetic and Fractora to further stimulate your collagen production. There are other interventions that can be explored as well such as J-Plasma to see if you are an appropriate candidate. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Dater, I am sorry your excitement for this procedure was dulled by a high price tag. That number seems more typical of a facelift. This procedure achieves 60-70 percent of the results of a facelift and can often be done in less than half the time. The machine itself is very expensive (think...
Facetite can be very effective to tighten skin without any incisions. It can lift the lower face and neck quite well, but not as much as incisional surgery. I have found to get rid of a lot of fat that you have to do liposuction in conjunction with the facetite handpiece, so it shouldn't de...
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face,...
