The best garments, in my opinion, after a mommy makeover are an abdominal binder and a bra. If you're getting liposuction as well, a custom made compression garment is necessary at times. Most of my mommy makeover patients do well with just the binder and bra.Thank you for your question!Dr. Schreiber, Baltimore plastic surgeon
Since every surgeon has his or her own post op protocol, this question is best answered by your surgeon. Typically, I send my Mommy Makeover patients home in a specific support garment that I have them wear for the first few weeks. Then, depending on how they are healing, patients can move into the garment of their choice such as Spanx. Hope this helps -- Dr. Nazarian
Hello,Thank you for your question. Each Surgeon has their own preference. I frequently use custom support garments for thigh/leg liposuction but typically a surgical binder and surgical bra for mommy makeovers. These garments are included with surgery costs in my practice. Your Plastic Surgeon will likely be able to recommend good quality surgical compression garment companies which you can order garments from if you need to.All the best
Hi, thank you foe the question, the garment that will fit you best would be better to be suggested by your PS, In my practice the patient goes out of the OR with it, that way i can make sure is the perfect one.
Thank you for your question regarding compression garment selection. The specific garment will vary depending on what procedures you are having as part of your 'mommy makeover'. I recommend the use of Marena garments to my patients. They are excellent quality and not too expensive. Check with your board certified plastic surgeon for recommendations specific for your surgery.
Hello and thanks. I appreciate your question, but this is a matter of preference between different offices and doctors. I currently use Rainey and Marena and patients have been very happy. Best wishes always, Dr. ALDO
This question is best answered by your surgeon's office. There are several styles to choose from depending on the procedures you are having done. They can often assist with correct sizing too. Compression will also come with different strengths of compression available depending which stage of recovery you're in.
Congratulations on your decision! Your Board Certified Plastic Surgeonsoffice should have a full staff of trained knowledgeable professionalswho will know exactly what garment(s) to get depending on the exact procedures you are having and then where in your area to get the appropriate garments for yourlonger term recovery.Since every surgeon has his own post op protocol, this question is best answered by your surgeon. Follow your surgeon's directions carefully and wearthe recommended garments as long as they advise.
Your ideal compression garment should have a few characteristics which include excellent compression, durability, easily washable, and comfort. There are a number of companies out there that make excellent garments. Do your research and try to sample these garments before you purchase. I prefer Design Veronique. Good luck.
Every doctor has a preferred garment brand or model that they like to work with. Of course if you have any suggestions these are welcome always. Best is to ask your doctor what he recommends you.Best of luck,Dr. Derby Sang Caputo
Thanks for the question. Generally, most patients can fly within 2-4 weeks after mommy makeover operation. I wish you all the best.
I would speak with your internist and get his or her go ahead. And, obviously, you need your surgeon's approval. Best of luck, Dr. Nazarian
Congratulations on choosing a Mommy Makeover. There are numerous physical benefits to having a Mommy Makeover. Breast lifts with implants often take the strain off one's upper back muscles and eliminate the necessity to wear orthopedic bras which lead to deep permanent grooves in the s...
Please let your surgeon know as this should be monitored. Your surgeon will let you know what can be done to alleviate swelling. This may include elevating your feet and reducing sodium intake.
This is a very good question. While I agree with your surgeon that pain is a good indicator a potential problem pain must still be controlled. Atypical pain plus other symptoms that are not customary to the procedure clue a surgeon in to a potential problem thus the decision not to use Exparel...
Breast reduction and tummy tuck can often be performed together. This does not mean that it will reduce the overall cost of the procedure. Your breast reduction is a medical procedure covered by your insurance. Your tummy tuck will be charged according to your surgeon's fee, the facility fee and...
