Modest anemia can be tolerated with this elective aesthetic procedure. Generally there is very little blood loss. Correction of the anemia should be begun and whether or not it's safe to proceed with all of the proposed operations is a judgment decision by your surgeon.
Hello janhelen and thanks for your question. Those labs you've mentioned are not as important your red blood cell count and your hematocrit/hemoglobin level. A high rdw could be associated with iron deficiency anemia, but you have not provided enough information in your statement to be able to help you. This question must be answered by your surgeon. She/He needs to review the lab values to determine if further testing is necessary, clearance by a specialist is needed, or if you can proceed as planned with your surgery.
If your hemoglobin is OK, slight abnormalities in these levels would not bother me for my patients. Check with your surgeon if they have any concerns.

After a Mommy Makeover patients can generally return to strenuous activities after six weeks. It is best to begin slowly and build back up to your previous activity level. Since your hiking trip is not until eight months after your surgery you should be feeling good and be ready to go!
Please let your surgeon know as this should be monitored. Your surgeon will let you know what can be done to alleviate swelling. This may include elevating your feet and reducing sodium intake.
