Every plastic surgeon will have their own recipe for how to best recover. We simply want you to avoid direct pressure for 6 weeks. We have never required much in terms of a "recovery suite" but 48 hours would be great and anything beyond a week is luxury. Best Wishes!!
Thank you very much for this question. The after care procedures are individually very much different. The recovery house is not a hospital, but a place primarily for people that come from abroad and will need some amount of care they would not be able to receive in a hotel or at home. The time you have to spend there it depends very much on the treating plastic surgeon. Have a wonderful rest of the day and greetings from the beautiful island of Jamaica.
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. I have patients stay for a week after the surgery to make sure that everything has healed well and they can go back to their normal activities. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Thank you for your question,I recommend to those patients from outside of the country to stay at least 12-15 days after the procedure in this way you and your PS can be sure that you don’t have any complications and you could have a good flight back home; about the recovery time, it depends of the patient but I could say about 30 days (1 month). I recommend you to ask to your plastic surgeon because every surgeon has his or her own opinion. Best of luck!
Most patients resume light daily activities in a few days after the surgery and return to work in about a week or 10 days. Consult your surgeon for post op instructions.
Hello Based on your photos you are a good candidate for a liposuction with BBL and I think you'll get very good results. I recommend my patients to stay 12 days after the procedure. Liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your abdomen, waist, back and of course your buttock to give you a beautiful heart shape.I recommend you to make an appointment with a board plastic surgeon for a good evaluation and to talk about your goals.Good luck :)
Hello thank you for your question. Patients who go out of town to have their surgeries often choose to stay in a recovery home instead of a hotel as it may be difficult to move about. Staying in a recovery home is not mandatory but can be convenient as many provide home-cooked meals, transportation to and from post-operative appointments, in -house services like massages, as well as on-site staff to take care of patients in those first delicate days. While everyone heals at a different rate, I recommend waiting 3 days before boarding a plane.Good luck!
How long do you have to stay in a recovery home after a BBL?Great question!Every plastic surgeon has their different criteria, most immediate post operative complications will occur within 3 days after surgery. I recommend my patients to have a minimum of 2 follow ups, the first day after and the third day after and during those visits, we’ll check to see if any of those complications will arrive and we will redose the low melicular weight to reduce the possibility of forming blood clots and prevent blood clots during their transportation back home. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send to me your photos of yourself and what you thinks looks good. Then, I can listen and understand your concept of a beautiful contour and shape and we can plan together for the best result for you.Do your homework and read online reviews, evaluate before and after pictures and choose to have an in-person exam / consultation with an AOA or AMA board-certified plastic surgeon that has privileges to do this surgery at a pier reviewed local hospital. I wish you well through your recovery process,James S McAdoo, DO, FACOS,AOA dual board certified general, plastic/reconstructive surgeon, microsurgery fellowship, BBL specialist
Birth control pills increase your risk of blood clots. The risk is low of developing a symptomatic clot with a BBL but would be increased slightly with someone on birth control pills. Some surgeons require patients to stop taking them prior to surgery others explain the risk and...
I have no experience with the booty pillow but if your not applying direct pressure to the area (which is the whole point in not lying on your back) then that may be okay to try. I would definitely ask your surgeon first.
I would need to examine you to tell. If there is still fluid present this can be removed by needle aspiration (sucking the fluid out with a needle). I suspect that you have had some injury to the fat and now have a depressed area that is making the adjacent area look more protruding. If this is...
