Hello, I’m currently 16 months post up from a primary rhinoplasty. I had a follow up about a month ago and the Dr. Me with my 6th steroid shot in effort to soften scar tissue. My skin is now thinner on one side creating contours and shadowing. I was told this is normal and with time it will get better, unfortunately, it’s getting worse. Will this get better with time? How can I fix?

Hello! Thank you for your question.From the photos you provided it is very hard to make a good evaluation. You may need a revision rhinoplasty with external grafts / cartilage from ear or rib to reshape the tip and make it straight.

We have seen indentations related to steroid injections improve slowly over time. Since your injection was only one month ago, I would be patient for another 2 months to see how things go. Your photos are not particularly helpful for demonstrating the areas of concern.
