I need to do an overdone rhinoplasty. I am male and I feel having no dorsal hump took my masculine look. Is it possible to make a small natural looking bump when revising. Also my cartilage grew after twenty years and I might need to raise the tip. I just don't want to remove anything from the nose anymore. Is it possible to just add cartilage and raise the tip?
Answer: Revision Hello, Thank you for providing these photos. It is possible to add cartilage and also to add a dorsal hump as well. Doing 3D imaging with your surgeon is a tool that is always incredibly useful so you can get a sense of what each change will do to your nose and overall appearance. I recommend scarless/closed rhinoplasty for all rhinoplasty regardless of whether primary or revision rhinoplasty. Mark G. Albert, M.D., F.A.C.S.New York, NY

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi an augmentation rhinoplasty is one of the methods to correct small nose or overly done previous rhinoplasty. It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss the surgical procedure and the post op recovery process.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question.Without your face photos I cannot make a proper evaluation for your case. Anyway, it is possible to make the nose looks bigger and a bit wider (to get a more masculine look) with rib cartilage reconstruction. Best regards!

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty In a revision rhinoplasty, it is possible to address your concerns about the removal of the dorsal hump and create a small, natural-looking bump to restore a more masculine appearance. During the procedure, a skilled plastic surgeon can utilize cartilage grafts, such as from the septum or ear, to augment the nasal bridge and create the desired contour. Additionally, if you are looking to raise the tip of your nose without further removal of cartilage, a technique known as tip grafting or tip rotation can be used. This involves adding cartilage grafts or reshaping the existing cartilage to achieve the desired elevation and projection of the nasal tip. It's important to have a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in revision rhinoplasty to evaluate your specific case and discuss your desired goals. They will assess your nasal anatomy, discuss the available options, and provide recommendations tailored to your needs. I hope this helps, Best of luck !
