Updated: I have had a rhinoplasty that I wish I could go back from. Although I can see myself that my doctor did not do much, I am not liking the changes at all. He had rotated my nose a bit which took away my point in my columella and moved my nostrils just a bit, I had Went from a pointy flatter nose to a round one. Is there anyway I could restore my features from my old nose? I just want my flatter pointy nose back. Is there possibility that I can derotate my nose without grafts? Being that my doctor did not do to much overcorrecting? I would not want my nose to be harder than it is.
Answer: Rhinoplasty restoration I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the results of your rhinoplasty. Reversing the changes and restoring your previous nasal features may be possible, but it depends on various factors such as the specific alterations made during surgery and the condition of your nasal structures. To restore your flatter and pointy nose, revision rhinoplasty may be required. Grafting may be necessary to achieve the desired outcome, especially if there was significant alteration or removal of nasal cartilage or structures during the initial surgery. During a revision rhinoplasty, the surgeon would work to reshape and reposition the nasal structures to recreate the previous aesthetic you desire. This could involve techniques such as cartilage grafting, tip refinement, or modifications to the nasal bones. It's important to consult with a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon who specializes in revision rhinoplasty who can evaluate your specific situation, listen to your concerns, and develop a tailored surgical plan to address your needs. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. If you want to change the tip of your nose I recommend you a revision rhinoplasty surgery. Anyway, please keep in mind that you will most probably need cartilage (from ear or rib) to reshape it the way you want (if there is not enough cartilage left inside the nose). Best regards!

Answer: Your photos appear to show a favorable tip result after rhinoplasty. That said, evaluation of photos on the operating room table are limited. Generally speaking, there are no procedures to get your old nose back. In that regard, please consider re-asking your question with upright before and after photos so we can give you better advice in so far as achieving a flatter nasal appearance. I hope this will be helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
