Considering a rhinoplasty - Is it possible for the radix to be widened?

Question

I have a relatively small nose; specifically in the radix area, accompanied by deep set, hollow eyes. I strongly believe that if my nose had more mass in this area, I would not only look more symmetrical, but more awake and alive. I haven't seen many doctors talk about widening noses as everyone mostly wants their nose smaller. Is there anything that can be done to dramatically change the size? Thank you in advance! This has been bothering me for ages.

You are correct that most of the time the goal is to narrow the bridge. Without even seeing pictures I can tell you that trying to widen the radix is not going to be a good idea. I’d be surprised if you found a surgeon  to do it.

Nasal grafts are typically used for people who want more nasal tip and dorsal projection. This will provide a more prominent nose up to the bridge but honestly it’s difficult to widen a radix from my experience

The Radix of the nose is attached to the frontal bone directly below your brain, and is really going to be impossible try to widen that specific area. It is possible to widen the midportion of the nose with spreader grafts. A full set of facial photograph from all angles are required to make a determination about how best to proceed.
