I have 2 questions: 1. I had an accident caused trauma to my nose 9 years ago and afterwards I developed deviation and a hump. Recently I have been pinching my nose to clean blackheads on my skin and I repeated several times. Now when I look at my nose, the hump looks bigger. Can it get bigger after all this time by pressuring on it? 2. Am I a hard case for rhinoplasty? I guess I have a thick skin also my philtrum is long. I am afraid of it getting longer or a pig looking nose.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have a strong dorsal hump. For get rid of this image and gain more curved, projected nose I recommend you open rhinoplasty surgery. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: I'm not aware of nasal changes from cleaning blackheads... You appear to have a crooked nasal appearance and a profile bump. It's conceivable that your nasal trauma may have led to dislocation of ligaments from your bridge to your tip. That could cause tip droopiness. Consider visiting several reputable rhinoplasty specialists if you wish to achieve a straighter nose and a more pleasing nasal profile appearance. Thanks! Dr Joseph

Answer: Your questions about rhinoplasty: Your questions about rhinoplasty: thank you for your inquiry regarding Rhinoplasty. As far as causing permanent trauma to your nose by squeezing blackheads, I don’t think that could happen. You may get some swelling and irritation which could last quite a while but should not be permanent merely from squeezing your skin. As far as rhinoplasty is concerned you look like you would be a rather typical case with a small dorsal hump and slightly bulbous tip. The Cookedness could be due to the trauma to the nasal bones, or to a deviated septum. Either way these are commonly treated during a standard rhinoplasty. no one wants a an over shortened nose or excessively high tip, or an excessively long philtrum. If you don’t already have an excessively short nose it would be unusual to have one after rhinoplasty if the surgeon we’re not trying to give you one.

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery HiFirst question: Even if there is no fracture in the bone after trauma, there may be shape changes in the nose. because cartilage growth plates can be affected and cartilage can change their shape. Playing with your skin does not change your nose structure, but it may cause edema on the skin, and you may see the effect of this edema. Also, we can see periodic changes due to hormones in thick and oily skin.Second question: You are not a difficult or complicated case in terms of rhinoplasty surgery. It is difficult to judge the thickness of your skin from photographs, but It may be understand on examination. Your philtrum length seems a bit too long, but if you take the photos from the phone camera, it can be misleading. Therefore, it is more appropriate to evaluate with standard photographs taken in the clinic and examination. What can be done if it is long? Liplift surgery can be performed. If your rhinoplasty surgery is performed with a correct planning, no nose extension or pig appearance will occur. It is important that you could manage the process with a competent surgeon.Have a nice day.

Answer: Rhinolasty Thank you for your questions and for sharing your photographs. Nasal hump is partly bony and partly cartilaginous and pinching or squeezing your skin should not alter your nasal hump. Rhinoplasty can improve aesthetic appearance of your nose. It is not that your surgery is hard. However, there are some limitations based on one's nasal anatomy and nasal skin quality. As you mentioned, It appears that you have a good quality, thick nasal skin. This is great in covering up minor underling irregularities but since it does not shrink well after surgery, it will not show fine underlying refinements. The use of manipulated (morphed) digital clinical photography provides a platform for discussion as to your desires and expectations. Such images are not a guarantee of exact results, but a great tool to ensure that you and your surgeon are on the same wavelength. Best wishes,
