Years ago, I had a columella strut graft (made from cadaver cartilage) placed in my nose in order to increase projection. Recently, I wiped the side of my mouth with my hand, and in doing so, I felt the graft move for a moment, which caused pain. It has been two months, and I still feel pain in the region circled in the picture, especially when I look down. My surgeon said I may have caused trauma or swelling to the buccal branch of the trigeminal nerve. Otherwise, structurally, my nose is fine.
